Auto-size pics to a reasonable dimension?

I've seen on other forums where no matter how large the pics are, they are auto-sized to something like 2000px across and then you have the option to click on it and make it full size. Most pics posted are 2-3x the width of my monitor which makes them essentially unviewable.

This screen cap is 2000px across and is 2/3 as wide as my screen. But look at the 2nd pic in the cap, you can see the scroll bar at the bottom to see the image is only 50% on screen, which makes it hard to look at.

Most forums auto-size pictures to 1024 pixels wide, which this one used to do. Hopefully it goes back as it for sure ruins the reading experience.

Turned it off for one of the upgrades and forgot it switch it back on. Should be working again.

It used to only resize hotlinked images but should work for all attachments now.

Didn't work for me either. Was a great feature when it worked.

For anyone that is still not seeing resized images try choosing a different Style (bottom left of the forum). That has worked for some, even when changing it back to the original Style.

changing style and changing it back to default worked for me too, thanks!
Btw, never noticed before the style selector
