Wow. I have to say - I have a new found appreciation for this site and the people on it.

I recently joined another site (whose name I will withhold...for now :D), and the people on that site are relentless!

I posted pictures of a car that I'm have restored; and at first, the response was positive...until I got past the disassembly pictures and started to show the body work, etc. HOLY SMOKES! Some guy (who I find out has his own restoration shop and has been restoring cars since the early 90s) just starts taking wide open shots based on the pictures. Good Lord!

To me, there are many great things about being part of a forum:
- Shared interest/passion
- To learn
- Gain ideas
- Meet other people...some of whom have become VERY dear friends
- Etc.

I CERTAINLY don't join forums to:
- Tell someone their car is "wrong"
- To wizz on their parade
- Try to build myself up at someone else's expense
- Etc.

I've seen many threads that turned sour on this site, but usually its personality stuff - not, "Hey, your car is effed up!" ;)

In any case, if this forum is representative of a new generation of car enthusiast, well them, dang it, I'm proud to be a part!!! ...cue the National Anthem :ford:

P.S. Their website functionality SUCKS compared to ours
P.P.S. Yeah, I said "Ours" :D
P.P.P.S. No, I'm not bitter...much

I agree that this is a very good forum. Most people are passionate, but in a positive way. Even criticism is usually constructive and good-natured.

I spent a lot of time on the corvette forums when I was looking into the C7, and that place had some real characters.

Way to be cool, MG6'ers!

I agree with the OP. I noticed the members here can discuss other manufacturers in a civil manner as well.

There are more wackos on the internet now more than ever. You use the ignore feature. Doesn't work perfect, but it helps.

Is this Google search safe for work?
Yea, yellowbullet is a racing website but it has a section called "Trash or Be Trashed, where the weak are killed and eaten" In that section anything goes. Threads are all labeled NSFW if that's the case. The main parts are moderated but Trash or be trashed isn't. On the bullet if you say it you have 5 min to edit. After that it stays forever.
