Gt isnt that bad on gas. Over 19k miles my average mpg was 21.
That's about where mine is, too. Driving a GT is like being Spiderman: with great power comes great responsibility.

I think that's where the beauty of the GT is: Decent Economy when you need it; GREAT economy (on the highway) when you have to go somewhere and fantastic power when you want it.

I sometimes wish I'd had the little extra bit of money to go with the Performance Pack, but then on a nice roadtrip I start to see 28, 29 mpg.... and then I feel that I really didn't need the 3.73's :clap2:

I really can't see why you would, not that there's anything wrong with a eco boost but the money you would loose on trade in you would never make back in increased gas mileage.

To back up your claim:
Using your 20% margin and using easy numbers for comparison
10,000 miles, regular gas=2.00 gal, premium = 2.40 gal
GT MPG = 22. = 454 gallons =$1089 premium, $908 regular,
ecoboost=26.5 MPG = 377 gal = $904 premium, $754 regular

I personally wouldn't want to run 87 octane in an EcoBoost.

The fuel cost between a 5.0L GT vs 2.3L EcoBoost is pretty close.
They are both nice engines.

If your considering an EB rather than a GT, only because of higher mpgs, you should also consider the much lower insurance cost. Of course, the trade-in value of the EB will be less than that of a GT but the initial cost is significantly less.

Your profile shows that you have a GT, correct?
Have you owned an Eco? Don't make statements that you can't back up with facts.
I have an Eco in my F-150 (2013 bought new) and a '15 Eco convertible.
I ran a few tanks of 93 thru the Mustang with no noticeable difference in performance. I've run the engine to the governed limits by the engine computer, approx. 125 mph, and the engine didn't miss a beat on 87.
The owners manual states that 87 is the preferable fuel grade unless you're towing. Do you regularly tow with your car?
Running a diet of 93 is throwing money away, there is absolutely no measurable difference with running 87.

sure did and the eco turns so much nicer, of course I don't care to go fast. Overall the eco gets 30% better MPG. Both PP and 2015.

I wonder if they have the same issues on the "Camry Forums"
Only the V6 Camry's are the real deal, the 4 bangers are Camry posers.........
And the Hybrids are redheaded step children.
Think about it.
