Any DIY solutions for making the blank deck lid finish panel?

I have an ecoboost, and want to remove the pony, but of course that leaves holes. I don't want to spend $175 for the blank panel, so I'm thinking about options to cover/fill the holes and repaint the panel or wrap it in vinyl... anyone done this? Or maybe a different kind of emblem?

Easy. Remove emblem. Fill holes and finish smooth, have it wrapped.

Only cost you about $175 worth of time and expense.

can't you just say take off the emblem, fill it in with superglue or silicone, then sand and wrap?

I had been looking at these for a while and finally got one at LMR. I had found them for a little cheaper, but didn't realize they were being discontinued...... Buy while available!
