Hello everyone, I lend my intake to a friend of mine that works on Mustangs locally to test the intake. Couldn't use my car due to work shifts. Test car is a manual PP car completely 100% stock. Have in mind test was done in a Mustang dyno so numbers are low. Enjoy the results! He said that with a proper tune on top, the car can pick up like 8+hp more. He likes it ;)

It comes with a calibrated maf. We have plans to do the test again with my car and it will include a custom tune on top so you guys can see first hand the improvements as a drop-in and then with the custom tune on top.

Flows so well that there is almost zero pressure drop even at the max this engine flows. I have the tune required Pmas and the seat of the pants gains are noticeable vs the stock intake. I swapped my stocker back on for a couple days a little over a week ago (same exact tune except MAF transfer) and it was noticeably less responsive and didn't pull as hard especially up top. I promptly reinstalled it.

Does the non tune pipe have a reducer that can be removed down the road for a tune?

No, there is no reducer like Airaid uses, the PMAS no tune intake includes a calibrated MAF sensor that you use instead of your stock one. That is why you don't need to tune the ECM. The sensor has been calibrated for their intake. When you get a tune you simply leave the MAF calibration alone bc it's already calibrated.

Tuning for an intake can be misleading but to sum it up, the reason you need a tune for a tune required intake is to calibrate the MAF for the larger housing, the calibration itself doesn't add any power, thats just for accurate reporting of airflow. The intake adds the power(or in some cases, add zero hp as most hp gains are from other changes in the tune that actually affect power output).

Am I on crack or did the air fuel lean out? of course you will gain power. That's kind of weird too with this being a closed loop system.

It's it cat overtemp on that one pull. 12.3-12.0 is normal factory tune settings the run in the low 11s it's richening due to modeled cat temps being over 1600 which doesn't take long to happen at wide open.
