Hello.
I own an EU spec EB. I changed the fugly grilles with the US GT ones. I read that EU has some pedestrian safety wires in there.
The US lower grille doesn't have the holes to clip on the wire, so I said "weight reduction bro" and I didn't fit it.
Now there is an airbag error in the dash and I'm afraid those were airbags and not ped safety. Though my question is: US doesn't have airbags?
I connected the two that are near the edge, but the center one is behind the grille and I can't reach with my hand inside, need to take down the bumper again :(

Monday I'm gonna put a tester on it about the error, but do you think it's ped safety or airbags?

Cheers

I think it's not the air bags. It's the hood that pops up when you hit someone. US car's dont have such regulation or feature.

Cool, cool, don't care about that. Any way to disable it so I don't get error?

That is probably gonna be hard without flashing some modules.
Your best bet is hook up the sensor wire.
