The only factual point about the durability of stock Boss/Coyote pistons is that more Coyote pistons have failed than Boss pistons. The circumstances surrounding those failures obviously vary.

The Boss has a 7,500rpm limit compared to the 7k limit of the stock Coyote, however cam lift is higher in the 2nd and 3rd versions of the Coyote than the Boss(13mm both intake/exhaust vs 12mm intake/13mm exhaust for the Boss).

We are talking about Gen 3 Coyote.
Which has a 12 to 1 compression ratio and has new updated pistons and enhanced cylinder walls. It also comes w/460hp and 420lb-ft, stock.

It is not a Gen 2, or Gen 1. This is completely different.

We were talking about all generations, and still the Gen 3 has cast pistons.
