Hey guys, anyone running 850whp with a whipple kit on stock motor? If so, what’s your recipe? Currently debating between Paxton HD kit or whipple. Just wanna hear some thoughts/set ups

Never dyno’d My car but my buddy made 906 on his stock boss with a Gen 3 whipple, 10 rib, 150mm TB, 3.75 upper and 20% lower. Full exhaust and E85. Mine was same setup except a 4 inch upper. It ran great. Daily drove the car. No issues! I can send you some vids if you dm you’re number

I’m over 900hp to the wheels. Whipple Gen3+, stock damper size, 3.5 pulley and E85. The only thing changed in the motor is crank and oil pump gears plus boss primary tensioners.

What is your torque? Just curious.

I’m around 680tq if I remember right. I had minor clutch slip at upper rpms from my last setup. Couldn’t feel it in the power but it showed up on a dyno.

Could have pullied down and made 1000, but I’d like it to stay together for a while

That’s impressive especially the torque number
Are those SAE or STD numbers ?
Any dyno graphs ? I am assuming the huge torque is from the 20 % OD . How much boost ?
Any 1/4 mile times yet ?

I also have an A10/ whipple stage 2 /PBD tune and made mid 800’s SAE on race gas with the 3.5 /6 rib pulley . A little less with the 3.625 pulley on E85 but fuel looks close (BAP/DW400/ID 1050)
Torque is low 600’s .
Stock exhaust with cats .

Going to see what it runs with 3.625/E85 and then 3.5/race gas .
I will be doing a triple pump return after ....as soon as I use up the 30+ gallons of race gas sitting in my garage .
Then plan to delete the cats .

SAE. 1st pull on 93 looked good. Next 3 on E85. A couple of revisions from Rob and bingo. Track opens the 24th. Hoping for mid 9s.

Those are solid numbers! How much timing are you seeing to get over 900wheel?? I’m tuned thru Lund and have your same setup. Gen 3 with 3.50”, 132TB, Fore Dual pump, E85, stock damper and 1050x, catless long tubes and full 3” exhaust. Last dyno on a dynojet was 821/613. Alex at Lund capped my timing at 22* which I’m totally fine with since all I have are OPG/CS. That’s a huge jump from my power. Totally jealous haha. Car still has the stock MT82 and 3.73 w an RST.

Went to the same dyno when I was on 93 and a BAP w the 3.625” and was 726/565 I believe. Not sure of timing on that setup. Maybe 17 or 18* if I remember correctly.

4,100lb race weight Trapping 145mph, I would imagine that mine is around there although never dyno'd.
2018, Whipple Gen 5 3.0, Auto, 3.625 6 rib upper, ID 1050X injectors with the DW400 fuel pump and JMS fuel pump booster. Stainless Power 1 7/8" Longtubes and Flowmaster Exhaust, Ngauge and Lund Tuneup on E85. I also did the oil pump gear and crank sprocket. I love the torque of the Whipple for street duty, good luck!

I’m locked in at 22 degrees from Lund as well with 6 degrees of advance available. We sound almost exact in setup but the minor differences that play out might be that my gen3 is more of a gen4 (technically about a 3.95 and couldn’t say at the time), my E85 quality was between E85-90 and I’m at sea level on a nice cool morning.

Maybe the dyno I use reads low lol. I don’t drive the car much so the pump E85 I run is tested every time before I put any in the car. For the last year it’s never once been below 85%. It’s usually a smidge above. 80+ more wheel HP is crazy if we have the exact same setup. Damn.

Talking with Will at Whipple he’s said the new Gen 4 over my Gen 3 will warrant about a 1/2 to 1lb of boost on the same pulley size. Which he also stated was about 15-20hp increase. 80+ whp over me on the same setup is crazy. You must have a freak of both a motor and blower on that thing.

Yeah maybe next time I’m down at Whipple they can dyno it again. I’m not really a fan of running my car on the dyno though. And honestly the numbers won’t feel any different between our cars at the power level we are running.
