50 Years license plate frame

Anyone have this frame to confirm whether there are notches at the bottom of the frame to actually slide your plate into? I just got mine and its basicly just a piece of metal that goes over the plate. Of course if your plate is mis shaped it won't cover it properly from a side view since its basicly just bolted over the plate with nothing holding the plate to the frame on the bottom. Guess I am too nitpicky but hell even the crappy plastic frame from the dealer had notches in it. For thirty bucks I expected more.

I just put mine on this evening and it does have tabs on the bottom

Yeah I just took mine off and double checked mine. Definitely no tabs on the bottom. Is this the one you got?

Yes it was. I'll have to double check it tonight. When I put it on, I'm pretty sure that it had the tabs at the bottom.
