Hey Guys, Im having a hard time with my rim and tire setup. I ordered 20x10.5 30mm offset for the rears Nice Misano Rims, and 305/35/20 Mickey Thompson Street Comps for my 15 GT on the rears. I called the wheel rep and he told me I will have to do a 20x10 40mm offset and its fine to put the 305/35/20 but it will prob poke some. He said it is still going to be close, or he said go with a 30 series sidewall instead of the 35. What would you guys do here are some pics of the 30mm rims and 305/35/20 setup, thats a one inch drop and its super close. What do I need to get to clear this dang fender?!?

I'd say 40mm offset and drop to a 305/30/20, or even a 295/35/20 might fit a little better.

The 295/35/20 will be .4" narrower (roughly) and .3-.4" shorter (roughly).

Combined with bringing the face of the wheel into the fender well, it'll be a tight fit but it shouldn't rub too hard.

Try and get a full length shot of the rear wheels so we can see exactly how much they push out from the fender. That'll be the best way to gauge it.

My 20x10 Rovo’s are +38mm and I’m running a 305/35r20 Mickey street street comp with just a tiny bit of camber and it doesn’t rub so I have no doubt the +40’s will work awesome with that tire. Running a tiny bit over “recommended” camber isn’t a big deal, just don’t get into the “stance” side of it or anything lol pm me you’re number and I can send you some pics if you’re interested in seeing what my setup fits like in the rear.

Looks like I’m going to go the way of selling my 305s for some 285s in order to negate the 30 mm offset. Anyone want a pair of 275/35/20 or 305/35/20 :)

Cut your losses now. Even if the smaller tire doesn't poke the rim still will. If you increase the neg camber to tuck it in you will have really bad tire wear. Not being neg just try to give some good advise.

I was talking about selling the wheels also, with that offset the actual rim is probably poking.

Blubyu - As stated above camber may well pull the tires in. Can safely go up to -1.7 Depending on your present camber. This is in factory spec and will pull the tires in. Just went through this with a bad alignment. It would be your easiest solution. Did you have it aligned after the drop? If so what is your rear camber?

I didn’t have it aligned it was a 1 inch drop vogtland sport springs but I just don’t want to worry about it being that close especially with inner cities and bumps and such. Don’t want it to limit my cars daily driving ability. Just gonna sell em and start fresh!
