Guys, wanted your opinion on which gears to go with…keeping in mind plans down the road. A 2.9 Whipple or Kenne Bell will be added.

Do I opt for the PP with all the goodies and 3.73's? Are the 3.73's too much WITH a supercharger on the street? The other option is 3.55. More usable power? Bigger brakes and suspension mods would be have to be added later. Thanks in advance.

I had 4.30's in my Mach 1 with a D1-SC Procharger. Not problems there. Depends where you wanna use it. Drag? Highway runs?

3.31 gears for a PD blower. The Kenne Bell, Whipple, or Roush TVS blowers all produce great low and midrange torque. You want taller gears to make use of the torque without excessive wheelspin or having to shift.

Two things here, your Mach 1 had very different transmission gear ratios than the MT-82 in the '11+ Mustangs, which greatly influences which rear gear ratio one would choose. Also, a centri blower makes it's power at the top of the rev range compared to the PD blower the OP wants to get.

I put a TKO 600 in it. But yeah....centri blowers are much different than "roots" type blowers.

I'm deff interested in the 3:73's for a centri blower down the road! Ha! Addicted to the whistle.

Highway pulls and will be taken to the drag strip a few times a year.
