Hey guys, was just wondering if putting 255/50/19 in winters on the 19inch PP wheels would cause any issues.

Not to familiar with Tires/Wheels. any information as to any clearance or driving issues would be much appreciated!

That is a HUGE tire.

You might run into rubbing issues... not to mention your speedometer would be wildly off.

To large of a overall diameter.

255/40/19 is what you want to go with.

Factory PP wheels come with a

255/40/19 overall diameter is 27.1"
275/40/19 overall diameter is 27.7 "

a 255/50/19 overall diameter is 29" it will cause issues

go with the factory spec tire sizes listed above.

Damn that sucks. I know someone who is letting them go for 1/2% price. 255/50/19 LM-25 blizzaks.

Outside of Speedo being off, is there really a concern for rubbing?

Not sure I don't think it would but it'll be close as hell.

The 315/35/20 Invo sits at a 28.62" overall diameter for the rear of setups I do and I have done a 22 setup were it was close to 29" overall diameter, but I cannot make that decision for you to say yes or no, I hope you get what I mean.

I personally would just spend the money and get the proper sized Bllizaks in a 40 profile.

Ya, I understand its just the value of over $800 here in Canada. Each of those tires are $350 each. I'm getting them for roughly $600 for all 4.

Thats a hell of a deal, I can completely understand why your considering them for that price range Id take a hard look at it also.

I mean a 255/30/22 which is what I have used on the S550 has the following specs

overall diameter is 28.1"

So these 255/50/19 are .9" taller you may have it hit the upper ball joint nut or when you turn it may possibly catch the inner fender, but most likely the upper ball joint nut man.

Fair enough, you seem like a pretty knowledgeable guy. I'll just pass on them seeing as how I would hate to already ruin a brand new car.

Thank you very much, you have been extremely helpful.

Have a good day kind sir.
