@ Yolo:

If you think you will get that performance for < 59k, come on down, I have premo land just outside of the everglades I can sale you. I mean the water comes up to the porch, it's like a pool in the front !

Though the figures are good, the base car will not have this performance. People really need to just peel the curtain back a little. Also the ADM bug will bite this car as well. I went to a local HUGE Toyota dealership just to look at the new Supra (was bored) and the 84k sticker had me like..ummm...ok.
Hundreds of dealers at MSRP for the vette. The Supra ADMs have come down too, seen a lot of dealer advertisements stating MSRP.

I have two friends looking to buy. One of them wants the C8 only, the other is looking for C8 or a 18~19 GS. Every LARGE S Fl, dealer we went to had some pretty hefty prices. Not one was selling the C8 for MSRP. All of them had significant mark-ups. Even the C7 GS was still at 80k.

The Toyato dealership just off the Golden Glades had the SUpra for 84k. The other Toyato dealership further down south 85k. (Buddy wants one...) So maybe OUTSIDE of S, FL the prices are coming down, but that is the regular for all new cars down here.

Wow! $85K for a Supra seems like a whole lot! What is MSRP for a Supra?

SFL may be a little more difficult since the car hasn’t hit the lot yet. But try a little more north. My local Hollywood Toyota dealer has a $10k sticker on the Supra and they were ready to let it go for MSRP when I told them I’d never pay over sticker for that type of car lol.

For a fully kited out one, I believe in the 50's. That is why I was looking at that price sideways and upside down. Lol

Well, the Corvette C8 specs were released yesterday.

0-60 MPH in 2.9

0-100 MPH in 7.6

Qtr mile in 11.3

Top Speed 193 MPH

3,535 lbs (700 lbs less than a GT500 or 4 Adult Men @ 175 lbs each)

$59,995.00

Not sure what your point is as a Base Corvette will not attain the above performance numbers for $60,000 as you are suggesting.

The above numbers are based on a loaded up Corvette and you can bet that the price in order to get the above performance numbers will far exceed $60,000 and probably somewhere in the mid to high $70's whereas the CFTP that I ordered came in at $93,980 and very happy with that price based on the performance that I will get with this car.

In addition and just to keep everything on a level playing field I suggest that the weight difference between a loaded up C8 Corvette and a 2 seat CFTP car will be closer to 500 pounds and not the 700 pounds that you are referring to.

The above 0 to 60 time is very good but as you can see the quarter mile time is really nothing special with the C8 not coming close to staying with a GT500 CFTP optioned car in a quarter mile or on a road course.

Yes, I do think for $59,995.00 you can get those numbers.

Base C8 (no Z51) is 3.0 to 60 MPH, Qtr mile in 11.3 and 193 MPH top Speed, per GM.

0 to 100 MPH in 7.6 and 3,535 lbs.

If they don't deliver as promised massive Class Action lawsuits will follow.

How about an actual citation instead of a cropped image from who knows where?

I'm sure there is all kinds of weasel words in any officially published material. This is the USA afterall, nothing gets the stamp of officialdom without the lawyers going thru it. Look for the footnotes.

Yep. All the Top Vette dealers are selling at MSRP.

A few people have already bought at MSRP minus -$2,000.00

The Z51 package is $5k, so $64,995 to get the better performance numbers.

Uh, yes it will. bone stock, $59,995.00, no options, 3,535 lbs.

3.0 to 60 MPH, 11.3 Qtr mile, 193 top speed.

So now you are saying a car with ONLY 490 HP doing 11.3 is not Fast?

0 to 100 MPH in 7.6 is blistering fast.

Rumor has it, the Z06 with the same HP as the GT500 will be in the 9's Qtr mile.

Way faster than a Demon.

Unless I really wanted that 2.9 vs 3.0 Zero to 60 MPH I'd save the $5,000.00

1/10th for $5k bragging rights is a lot of money.

If that were true Dodge would be owned by Demon owners.
