Choosing simply to pass on the car completely doesn't mean you got a good deal and avoided being ripped off. It just means you were priced out of the market.

MSRP is out there and I do believe some of you got it, by hard work or blind luck,, lol. Some I think maybe just stretch it a bit is all. If I hear one more time how great their negotiation skills are,:headbonk:I paid MSRP, I dont see why some think it would be worth lying about. But end of the day, I really dont care either way
But I would disagree 5-7k over is a good deal, I know some folks who got those deals in the bay area, so anywhere else minus a few big cities, that is not really that good. I would call it fair at best.
Paying an ADM is no different than paying a handling fee to Stubhub/Ticket Master. Or do you never go to sporting events or concerts unless you pay face value for a ticket? Difference is I still have my car, it's a toy nothing else. I didn't buy the car to turn around and sell. So could really careless of any depreciation. I bought it to enjoyKyle,
You were belly aching to me almost a year ago looking for a deal. And how is me passing on any car with an ADM pricing myself out of the market? You don't know me, nor do you know what I have or anything of the sort.
R models are not worth the ADM. Nor are the regular ones. The hype will die over time, and when another model and/or another competing model comes out. This is just history repeating itself.
Current KBB values my GT350 Track Pack at $75,000 for private sale and $72,000 for trade-in value. When did adding an extra $5k-$7k in depreciation become a good deal?
We applaud your efforts as far as locating one of these great cars at MSRP but unless you are totally blind or are just plain uninformed those deals are not out there except for a very few exceptions.Kyle,

I paid a small ADM and everyone that's asked knows what I paid. Everyone that's seen or ridden in the car agrees it's a steal at what I paid. We'll see who's correct on the matter. I'll continue to counter anyone who says that paying over sticker is a good deal. Talk about asinine, look up the definition before using it in your vocab. Nobody admits to their friends, family or colleagues that they paid X over sticker on a car.
I'll bring this up every time this gets cited. The values on KBB are bunk right now. There's not enough data yet on auction prices for cars with more than a few hundred miles and KBB's site is fudging it based on new car sales prices. No dealer will give you much more than high 50s for a car with a few thousand miles on it, which is still really, really good though. I tried this weekend and ended up at 58k in trade, but I still wanted a better deal so I walked. This was even through a dealer that participates in KBB's instant cash offer program.Current KBB values my GT350 Track Pack at $75,000 for private sale and $72,000 for trade-in value.
That's $10-15K OVER what I paid.
