2016 Rear Shock Revision

There is indeed a 2016 revision in the rear shocks for the GT with performance package. I recently ordered a pair, to upgrade my EB pp suspension.

The new rear shock part number is: FR3Z-18125-X.

I ordered from Levittown, after consulting with Benny. As I recall, they are roughly $63 each.

Interesting. I had one place tell me it was the W designation and another say X. I went with W, but everything feels good, so I don't know.

Damper rates from my research to combat the highway bouncing 15s are known for.

Exactly right. I was having way too much "bounce" for my taste, with my 2016 EB (daily driver), and swapped the rear shocks out for the new GT pp shocks. I also trimmed the bumpstops 1/2", as was suggested to me by a very helpful board member here, BmacIL (Bruce), who was kind enough to share his experience and advice with me.

An inexpensive alternative to more expensive, custom shocks for someone like me, who doesn't race or go to the track. There's been a noticeable improvement in rebound, over the OEM EB pp shocks.

Sp 2015 vs 2016 GTPP has different rear shocks, we're the front struts modified at all?

This is to cure the highway bouncing, does it actually fix it?

Thanks

The rear shocks are W. I gave the parts guy ,2016,2017 Vin number of pp car and all are ending with W.

The 15 pp rear shock lables are in BLUE and the 16 and 17 are in red.

Uh... no. My 2016 PP bounced on the highway as much as the rest of them.
