2015 GT350 Build Prediction

As everyone knows Ford has stayed quiet as to Model Year (MY) for the new GT350. Seems obvious with a fall build it will be a 2016 MY but Ford isn't saying and avoiding the topic so time to guess...if they are indeed going to early build or just reserved some vins for 2015 MY purposes before official 2016 MY begins -HOW MANY 2015 50th anniversary GT350s will they build.

My prediction:

504 GT350s
34 GT350Rs

Sometimes it's easier to ask than research. Would they have to build a certain amount as 15MY to qualify for any race series coming up?

NO number is "obvious".....

Why not 300 GT350s and 50 "Rs" for a total of 350?

If you know GT350 history you'll understand my guess.

Or how about 1965 units (1900 + 65) although I think time is tight for that big of an initial early run if they do it?

Or maybe 50 Rs and 50 GT350s...

Guessing time folks....

The 2015 Mustang order banks include Shelby coupes, but they are not buildable (yet) and trust me, I've tried! I absolutely believe we'll see some 2015 GT350's, and probably just enough to homologate them for racing.

My guess is if they are going to build any at all for 2015, it would have to be for a good reason. (not because its the 50 year anv.) So if you can figure out what race series or what event requires a car avail the following year, then find out how many of those cars must be produced, you will have your number.
