if build matches sequence then it is 82 or 182. scheduled for august 10. prio 10. dealer stated it might get pulled before that since VIN had been assigned for at least 2 weeks. let's see, either way this is gonna be fun!!Awesome and congratulations!!
Sounds like an early build so can you share with us the build number for your car? Hopefully it is a low build number at least that is what I would hope for?
Also, any idea as to when you can expect to see your car since it is being built in August?
I have a schedule build date for my car which is the week of July 20th but have no idea when to expect it?

Supposedly both builds are identical... GT350 Black w/Blue Stripe, Tech Pack.... Waiting for them to get back to me on whether the owner is willing to swap back and what the price premium would be... I understand the 2015 would be one of 50 cars and I will try, but if the owner comes back with a crazy price, I will most likely stick with the 2016...If I was you I would be pressuring the dealership to live up to their commitment with respect to you getting the 2015 GT350.
Do you know any of the details of the 2015 such as what color was ordered, stripes or not, Track Pack or Tech Pack?
In any event this 2015 Shelby GT350 is a 50th Anniversary model and will be 1 of only 100 cars built and 1 of only 50 with either the Track Pack or Tech Pack?
Stick to your guns and stay with the 2015 if possible?

How do you know they're already built? It would be really odd for Ford to build 2016s before the 2015s start production next month. :shrug:
AFAIK, the only differences will be the VIN and the 50th Anniversary plate on the dash - and knowing you got moved out of a very low-production American vehicle that is sure to be highly collectible someday. However, if you just want a GT350 to drive, '15 vs. '16 probably won't matter that much. If your motives are different, fight for the 2015, drive it home, put it in the garage and ship it to the next Mecum or Barrett-Jackson auction with only the original delivery miles on it - especially if you put money down on the car and have something from the dealer in writing acknowledging your order. The dealer knows he screwed up, so you really should be able to work this deal from whichever side appeals to you.
