Finally found the time to install my PP2. Thanks to @96mustang06 for the post install festivities!

I'm sure most of you are familiar with the process already but if not or on the fence about getting a PP kit here you go:

That sounds awesome! What exhaust are you running?

Does the intake make any noise?
Oh yeah, you can hear it sucking in air at idle when the hood is open. It also has the telltale airtube vaccum sound upon shutdown.

I guess I should have added that in my description huh?

So what is your take 2morrow? I think you and I have been sitting on this kit longer than most would. I have yet to install ( partly contemplating trading for an 18)

Haha, yeah I sat on it for a while but after installing it, I came to the conclusion that I should've done it a lot sooner (We did have quite a bit of rain making this mod pretty useless tho).

One of the big things for me was the ping issue. Adding an air/oil separator helps with that since we dont get 93 octane here in cali.

The other thing was time. I have a 9 month old, my 8 year old and a crazy busy career.

In your case, if you wanna go for a '18 just sell it. But if you end up keepong your s550.1 then definitely put it on (after getting an oil separator). If you like power, youll love it!

Keep us in the loop on whatever you do.

Damn, 2morrow, that's a beastly sounding car. I almost want the kit just for the tone change in exhaust lol.

Thanks! It felt great driving today. This was also an unexpected surprise. I expected a 1 or 2 MPG bump but this was more than I thought.

lol. Yeah, I got 26 mpg on the drive back from the first tank fill, right after I had the install done. I never see that anymore. I think that was the new car cautious break in drive. But I do often average 19 and rarely dip to 17, so it is all good!

I had Ford do the install to keep the warranty. The improvement is noticeable all across the power band.

how much did it cost you?
Well, it's hard to say since I also had them install the side exhaust, and oil separator at the same time. I paid a little under $600 for labor total.
