It's not like this trickle down or "Shelbying" of regular Mustangs hasn't happened before...
Great example! However, I do believe this 2018 facelift is very far from a "Shelbying" the GT in the looks department.

Regarding performance, it might seem it will close the gap between a GT and a GT350 a bit more, although we still don't have oficial performance numbers from Ford.

True! However, we've no confirmation that the GT350 won't follow suite in the refresh yet; unless it's keeping the same face?

The gap has definitely closed between the GT and 350 a bit, but I doubt it's significant enough for anyone to complain. The aftermarket makes it easy for all the models to close the gap between themselves and the 350s to varying degrees.

At least for 2018 the only changes to the GT350 will be color options. What happens 2019+ its uncertain. However, since the GT350 front end design was made exclusively for performance I doubt they would update their looks and keep the GT350 name. If they are going to invest in all the development to change the looks, you might as well give it a couple performance upgrades and call it a GT500 or something else. Just my opinion, of course.

I am a displaced Canadian, moved to the US about 7 years ago for work. Originally from the GTA, but did work in Montreal for about 6 mos early in my career at which time the guys at the plant either taught me or swore at me with all the choice Quebecois phrases. :D
That's funny, only someone who lived here could've known about the 2 exact words.;)

Nope, just colors is the word on the street.
More than the word on the street a copy of the current build sheet supplied to dealers.

Hilarious that one of the 'similar threads' at the bottom of this one is an ad for the Ford Racing Borla exhaust with GT350 quad-tip valence for Ecoboost and GT Mustangs. :D

Don't forget about some of the other things you can't see, taken from the GT350.
-twin-disc clutch and dual-mass flywheel
although probably not the same exact parts, because of FPC balancing
