Gentlemen!

I am just about to pull the trigger on a set of rims and the proper front spacers, for track use only. I have 2018 R with Vorshlag camber plates. I am struggling between ordering 11 inch or an 11.5 inch wide squared set-up.

I was wondering if anyone on the forum has run the 11.5 inch squared set-up, and if there were any issues or compromises at all?!?

Thank you!

What size tire are you trying to run? That will really inform wheel size. Trade off will be weight or contact patch depending. Lots of 11” wide square setups here. Important to remember that as you get further out in the radius of rotational mass the more influential weight becomes. So a pound of tire savings is greater than a pound of wheel savings.

if you want to run a 325 or wider tire all around you’d have to consider potential fender rubbing/rolling as well depending on offset and spacer size.

Thanks for the info, and you're right Jeffwels... I should have specified tire width.

I anticipate running 315-30-19 almost exclusively. That's the Hoosier R7 size I like, as well as the Ferrari Challenge race scrubs that are available from time to time.

Cheers

If you will be running the 315's then go with the 11.5" all around.

So I am ordering the 11.5 inch squared set up, ET56.

I'm also grabbing the recommended 31mm spacers for the front, as well as the 14mm GT350 R-spec extended wheel studs. Those longer studs are only needed in the front, right?!? Stock GT350R studs in the rear will be ok?

Thank you!
Scott

It’s a lot of front spacer. Generally we only recommend the 11.5 in a non square rotatable.

If you go that route be sure to measure the amount if thread depth you will have to ensure proper engagement between the stud and lug nut.

good luck
