You can bend a cloths hanger or a flat head driver to assist in holding the bolt in place while starting the threads. The data matrix will NOT face up. That's only on 11-14 models.

I also did the same thing and had to redo the job. What a pain.

I was getting 8-10mpg on e85. Then after my speeding ticket, all of a sudden my mpg went up to 15.7 where it stayed.

I honestly don't know if it would fit a v6. I'd do some searching prior to buying anything.
