Too bad the CO2 taxes are raised on the 1st of januari.
So the car is suddenly 4200 euros more.

I found a nice loophole around that. The CO2 tax is based on the date that the licencenumber is issued, not the date that the registration is put to your name. I had my licence number issued already, actually on the same day as yours (it's 84 numbers lower) so both my CO2 tax and price are 2015 level. The registration to my name however will be done on 2 January 2016, which will make the car a 2016 registration

My car is a company car as well, but I buy our company cars instead of leasing them so I actually do need to consider the depriciaton factor. Which is why I will be driving a POS rental for the next 5 weeks :frusty:

Make it the second week

First week we have a lot of balancing to do in our shop and I have several gigs during a few new years party's
(yes.... I play Hammond in a Rock'n'Roll band.... it is a hobby they say)

I'm taking mine on January 30th and 31st to the World Trade Center in Leeuwarden.
During the Racing Days I am organizing some drift-demos (no, not with the
Mustang but with 6 other cars) in an indoor Action Arena.
And we will wrap a new Mustang live on that show too.

Amost makes me regret I didn't go for the TY after all, but I really wanted the Custom Pack and the non-metallic colors work better with the black trims imho.

I also like yellow but in my country this color is misunderstanding. Guess what: taxi are yellow. So, when you see someone with a yellow car the first reaction is: well done with your new job....

File folder structure or file names are not really relevant, because the system uses the ID3 tags inside the MP3 files. You need to set up all your mp3 files with correctly filled ID3v2.3 tags containing (at least) ARTIST, ALBUM and TITLE.

When you insert the USB stick the system will index these 3 fields from all mp3 tracks to a voice recognition database. Depending on how many tracks you have this takes several minutes. The maximum indexing capacity is 15.000 tags, so in total 5.000 tracks (3 tags per track).

Once done you can simply give instructions like:

PLAY NIRVANA

or

PLAY NEVERMIND

or

PLAY SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT

You can also combine artist, album or title names in case you have two different albums or tracks with the same name:

PLAY ARTIST NIRVANA ALBUM NEVERMIND

To make this work preperation is key. Many people use iTunes for indexing their mp3 files, but iTunes really blows at writing correct tags. Long story. Your best option is to use a program called Mp3tag:

This lets you see and correct all tag info in your personal mp3 collection.

Another tip: the system will only display cover art if the resolution is not too high and the jpeg compression is not too low. Rule of thumb supposedly is maximum 500x500 pixels. Sanse mp3 art sizer is an excellent program that lets you adjust the size of existing coverart in mp3 files in bulk:

I tried a usb stick in a demo car with .m4a (AAC) and some .mp3 and the voice regognition work great. English is not my native language, so I don't have the best accent.
I was surprised that it understood EVERY song title, album name etc.
By the way, if the album name and a song title have the same name and you say "PLAY BACK IN BLACK" it replies: I found the same name for Album and a song. Which one do you want to play?


The strange thing is that I had also some video files in .mp4 format and it didn't recognize them at all.

The new 2016 price list for The Netherlands has been released:

EcoBoost Fastback AUT: EUR 76.840 (was 71.400)

EcoBoost Convertible 6MT: EUR 59.240 (was 55.600)
EcoBoost Convertible AUT: EUR 80.940 (was 75.500)

GT Fastback 6MT: EUR 115.200 (was 106.500)
GT Fastback AUT: EUR 108.600 (was 100.700)

GT Convertible 6MT: EUR 122.600 (was 113.600)
GT Convertible AUT: EUR 116.560 (was 108.300)

These price increases are 100% caused by the increase of our CO2 taxes. Ford NL actually has not applied the general factory price increase of EUR 1.000 that has been reported from other countries.

Thihi my auto eco was reduced by 3100€ thanks to new tax rules (more co2 taxes but less weight and bhp taxes - yes we are taxed by power! That's a luxury you know and must be taxed much like weight even though cars got heavier to be safer!)

It's still over 91000€ though :( fret not - the gt auto still begins at 133600€

Would be more but apparently the euro is wicked strong vs our kroners now!

Awesome! Even though you still pay an absurd amount of tax I know it always feels good to shave of a few K.

all UK model prices increased by £500 on 4th January - this is a Ford increase, no tax changes.
