So I never realized this until I let a friend drive my car.which is exactly in the 350 wheelhouse…I have never met, seen or heard of a 350 running from a dig, but get us on a freeway from a roll and it’s game on
I have made the offer… let’s see if he takes me up on it?do us a favor…go drive one and report back
I was just in ATL this past week for work. Y’all have some beautiful roads with the fall foliage right now. Stayed in Vinings but was up north around Alpharetta and Woodstock areas too. Too bad I was in a Nissan Sentra instead of my Mustang…I have made the offer… let’s see if he takes me up on it?
So I will chime in here as a Mach 1 owner because what the heck, I'm bored on a Saturday night... I just returned a little bit ago today from terrorizing the local countryside... with due regard for public safety of course... The M1 performed great and sounded even better. It was freaking fun. I don't regret buying the car at all. BUT.. When I am having my morning cup of coffee each morning I research where I could get a 2020 GT350 if I was so inclined and IF my wife could somehow get onboard with it (she won't). The 350 is special. No, it's intoxicating. But, so is the M1 in its own way. So, what might I do? Keep the M1 unless I stumbled upon a 2020 GT350, loooowww miles, the right color, clean carfax, one owner, and relatively local, and at a really good price. But it would have to be a phenomenal opportunity and the dealer would need to make a good offer on my M1. And since the chance of a phenomenal opportunity is slim, I am going to continue to enjoy my M1 and be glad I have it!This is kinda a mental exercise sort of thing so I get it if you aren’t bored enough to waste bandwidth on it.
I’m determined to keep one manual S550 until they pry the cueball out of my right hand. And I have two A10 S550s in case that happens. I really love pretty much everything about this ‘23 manual Mach 1. But while the Mach 1 is a special Mustang, obviously the 350 is more so and I like special. I’m a pretty day street-only driver so this car is a toy.
So I’m thinking that for what I would spend going up to a real nice ‘19-‘20 350 I could keep I Mach and do pretty much anything I want to the car, from a little to a lot. Obviously that decreases the reliability and potentially increases frustration, and I’ll stipulate to being old and impatient with inanimate things.
I’m not so much asking what I should do but I’m curious what you guys might do, and why.
Moved to Atlanta from Sagamore Hills, Ohio… hated Ohio, but still a Browns fan.I'm in the Cleveland area, the roads suck around here too
Poor guy LOL! The Clowns are like a birthmark you rationalize into living with. You can do better!Moved to Atlanta from Sagamore Hills, Ohio… hated Ohio, but still a Browns fan.
It’s like luggage, you keep it forever…!!!!!!!!
Dave, that is indeed a very generous offer. If this were more imminent I’d take you up on it in a flash and if and when it does become closer I’ll try and see if you’re still open. At this point it’s still exploratory and mostly mental exercise but that’s how it goes with me. I tend to be a little impulsive. One day I’m thinking about it, next day I’m doing it. 74 is not a real good age to procrastinate.Let’s see if the OP responds to my offer… not many GT350 folks offer “drive my Shelby” offers.
This sounds very familiar.Your avatar says "Deep South"... pm me if you are near Atlanta.
I swapped seats with a new Mach1 owner... I drove his and he drove mine back to back on the same roads. Owners rode shotgun.
There is quite a difference between the two... we both agreed.
