I like to disassemble things.
These cars have the ability to sync on their own, without a sync tool.

You have the torque sequence and figure correct.

Over the years I've learned one thing - trust no one and expect to be disappointed. You have to research the shit out of most everything you do and still hit bumps in the road. Charging $700 would have been criminal. Nice to hear you packed up your gear and got the heck out of there.

I brought my car to the Ford dealer where I purchased it and they charged me $60 to change the wheels out. With tax it was around $66.

How could anyone charge $700 is beyond the realm of imagination. The pressure sensors are relocated so there is nothing to reprogram. (The sensors can become damaged when removed but they are not that expensive to replace.)

So I take my car to the local tire shop, drop off wheels and lug nuts. They tell me it will get done that day. I call 30 minutes before closing and the guy basically forgot. I told them I would be in within 15 minutes to get my wheels and car and that I was going to be out of town. On top of this when I walk in they ignore me, I grabbed my keys myself from the counter and backed my truck up and loaded the wheels with my son, still no-one even comes over to talk, say sorry, or otherwise have a pulse.

Needless to say the car, or any other of my vehicles will not be back there ever.

Get this, I saw a voided receipt with my keys, they were planning on charging me over 700 dollars to put the wheels on and do TPMS programming. The wheels are complete, mounted and balanced FFS. I consider it a blessing as I was not smart enough to negotiate price first.

Now that I know to avoid them I will place them on myself at a friends house. From what I gather 150 foot pounds, drive a bit, re torque, and program tpms right? Nothing fancy?

Anything special about the TPMS? Does anyone have the tool required? Do you need to re-learn every time you switch wheels or will the car remember the oem wheels also?

Sorry to hear that, but a F@cking minute $700 are these guys smoking crack ???

Max ever I have heard of is $120 bucks and that was like full service work.

We do 100 ft lbs and proper sequence on the torquing and your good.

lol even $120 will typically include mounting and balancing. $700 to simply swap the wheels is insane, its like 10 minutes of work.

Ouch I mean they dont carry the wheel so Im not sure how they could be pissed about that.

Or maybe its because they saw the GT350 and wanted to idk im not going to dabble into it.

Never the less glad to hear it didnt turn into anything more then that sir.
