What front drag springs would give me clearance on my 18x5 front skinnies on 28x4.5-18 tires?

It’s been said that the BMR front drag springs lower the car something like 1.5”. I recently spoke with a guy on a different platform that has them and 18X4.5 front runners and is having clearance issues. When I was conversing with him, he was actually in the process of removing them and putting the factory springs back to eliminate the clearance issues. He said he’s going to keep the rear BMR drag springs in place which are 1/4” (I believe).

The best approach (also the most expensive) is to add long travel coil overs.

I’ve also been considering the BMR rear drag springs only, to compliment my Viking double adjustable shocks, while retaining the front springs and struts.

You'd figure drag springs would be set up to a height drop of what skinnies the vehicle will run on average.

Yeah I’ve been doing some research on that too. I saw some BMR front drag springs that lowers the front to about 1.2inches and I figured that’s still too low also. I believe I’m just gonna revert back to the stock front springs. Just a little bummed that I can’t match the whole set as I already have other bmr suspension parts installed

I hear you. If you want them to match, perhaps you could have the factory fronts powder coated to match the BMR rears. Maybe you can ask BMR for the color of the powder used, to get an exact match.

I was running 4.50x28-18 MH racemasters with bmr drag springs and actually was a lil lower due to the weight of the whipple. I had zero issues with clearance. My wheels were racestars.

Do you remember the bmr drag spring item number? Or even the link for it

Yeah. I just might end up going with the oems. Someone else responded to the thread and said they didn’t have clearance issues with bmr front drag springs. I wanna find out exactly which ones they’re referring to

I wouldn't go lower than a 1" spring. That is what I have on mine and a 28" skinny fits.

But any drag spring will work. Just have to make sure you get the correct on for magnaride or regular.

We work with tons of spring brands so let us know if we can help!

Can you send the exact link for this please? With just the front springs instead of the front and rear as a pack since I already have bmr rear springs

I run BMR front drag springs with zero issues. Billet Specialities 18x5 with MT 28x6/18.

What wheel are you running? Also what is the front camber? I ran vms, forgestar f14 and weld s76 wheels all in 18" with bmr drag springs and zero clearance issues. Bmr also makes a minimum drop front spring, which i switched to because I didn't like the rake stance.
