Hello everyone,

New joiner here in need of help.

I've been banging my head against the wall for the better part of a week trying to figure out the right part number for a set of front Brembo 6 piston break pads for my 2020 Bullitt. I've checked rockauto.com, levittownfordparts.com, tascaparts.com, parts.ford.com (where my VIN doesn't work 🤷), alongside many european websites in the hopes of finding the parts cheaper then whats being sold here at 500€ a set.

To say that I'm confused regarding the right part number would be an understatement. Never in my life have a I seen so many part numbers for the same item :wtf: and none of the items look like the OEM one (they have 1 instead of 2 grooves like the latter).

Does anyone know the Motorcraft part number?

I can buy alternatives from Delphi (LP3377), Remsa (1749.02), TEC, ABE (C1Y054ABE), TOMEX (TX 60-08) but I have no experience with any of them whatsoever. Also, I was unable to find threads on here about anyone having used them. I'm not against any of them, it's just that I'd like to stick to OE(M -- for street+light track use).

Thank you.

One thing to note, European DOT (or whatever you guys call it) may have different brake pad specs based on environmental rules for copper and other metal compounds

That's one of many part numbers I found but it looks completely different to the OEM pads: https://www.velocity-group.de/brems...elagsatz-scheibenbremse-6-kolben-bremsanalge/
in the sense that it has 1 groove vs 2. Also, I've found NR3Z-2001-A, FR3Z-2001-N, FR3Z-2001-C and FR3Z-2001-H, 5296566, 2070213 (provided by a Ford dealer so this should be it but I can't find it on rockauto) and GR3C-2001-EB.

All of them have however the same single groove vs 2x on the link from above.

I found the following:
FR3Z-2001-N: https://www.fordgenuineautoparts.com/oem-parts/ford-brake-pads-fr3z2001n
NR3Z-2001-A: https://www.fordgenuineautoparts.com/oem-parts/ford-kit-brake-lining-front-nr3z2001a

but I don't understand what the difference is. According to the website, they both fit my 2020 Bullitt. The second link says "With brembo, without shelby, 2015-17". So does that mean it's a no-go for my 2020 Brembo Bullitt? The first one makes no mention of Brembo whatsoever but just like the 2nd link, it says "Mustang. 6 piston caliper". I'm lost....

I think you can rule out the NR3Z-2001-A as the description states "Convertible". and also says "2015-2017".

I'd go with these.

There's nothing magical about the OEM pads. They are good all around semi-metallic pads. Plenty of aftermaket options that are just as good, for less money, or far better, for more money, or go with the Z26 pads if you are tired of cleaning the dust off of your wheels. Mostly though, it all depends on what type of driving you are doing.

They all fit your Bullitt, because the Brembo 6 piston calipers and rotors are the same as any performance pack car, Bulliitt, MACH1

But a convertible can have Brembo 6 pistons too lol
So regarding aftermarket, besides the Z26, what would you recommend? My type of driving is normal towards spirited with light track use (for heavy track use (ie. full track day) I'm thinking about keeping the stock rotors but going with g-loc R8/R10 or R10/R12). Some members did report using G-Loc GS1 for DD and a combo or R8/R10 for heavy track use.

I like the G-Loc R6 Autocross pads a lot. They work within the range of street driving temperatures, but bite like crazy and do not fade and can be used for light track duty. They are however, dusty and a bit noisy.

I have not tried the GS-1 Compound but im sure it's great.
Never really liked Hawk pads, but a lot of people here run them.

How do yo think the OEM pads (MOTORCRAFT BRF1553) compare to the DBA Xtreme Performance Pads and the HAWS HighPerformance Street 5.0?
