I feel your pain. This whole endeavour has taught me that I’m really not a millionaire despite what I might tell myself.

After this there is one more mod I want to do next year and then I’ll be done; I think I’m have custom grills to do custom upper and lower grills for this bumper. I’ve read some mixed reviews about the Cervini one which has thrown me off. Shame as I really liked the look of going all matte black.
Cmon, we all know you’re going to do more mods

Had a surprise standoff with a moose coming back from a hike, lol. It made some interesting sounds of annoyance but got out of my way and luckily left me alone. You can see here the feeties right above my headlight line (I didn't want to scare it by turning brights on).

Ordered the New Cobra Jet manifold ported from 1320junkie and a VMP twin 69 throttle body.

How do you tune the engine for it, or does it come with a tune from FP?

Nothing, because it’s still broken …

But I managed to accumulate some more parts for when it gets fixed :like:

I already had the Steeda cradle support bushes, but after seeing them on a U.K. car and how they hold up against salt / winter, I decided to modify them a little.

I re tapped the 10-32” UNF holes to M5 through holes and cleaned up the sharp edges of the bore holes (top as supplied / bottom modified) :

The thread can now come all the way through making for easier fitment and reducing a dirt collection / corrosion point.

These things appear to be made as a set and then cut, rather than being fully interchangeable :

Prepped for anodising :

No more corrosion traps or bolt heads hidden down the bores and therefore hopefully easier to remove (if required) if the future :

All set for dropping at the anodisers (hopefully next week), but I’m still unsure of colour - either green or red … ?

They are now back from the anodisers :

It's a nice job, it was worth putting the extra time into the prep and debur etc :

NOT a dig at Steeda, but same as the other parts I have refinished, this is how I would have liked them to be supplied (and I know others on here have also asked) - I would have been happy with a $ increase to cover it :like:

Seeing as how the cradle has to be dropped, it would be rude not to make the rear camber adjustment a little easier ...

Big shout out to @Hotpart.com - the product looks great and found it's way from California to the sunny UK in just less than 72 hours (including a Sunday !) :sunglasses:

I just can't leave stuff alone ... lol

Slight mod with the hacksaw :

Some of my eldest daughters craft supplies :

Quick wipe with thinners :

Hopefully this will remove some of the guesswork :

1664393263517.jpeg

I understand that 'Approx' 1mm of movement = 0.15 deg, so if I've done my measurements and maths correctly, each notch should move the camber approx 0.13 deg.

I have access to a flat floor and I have a quality camber gauge, these ease of adjustment and reduced guesswork should allow me to get the camber good enough (before a proper alignment) without too many adjustment cycles :like:

Hopefully all this stuff should be on soon, the car is now stripped, the diff is out and it's awaiting a new rear cover ...

My car is going back on a dyno for another custom tune. No, Ford Performance does not provide a tune.

Welp. I heard fluid dripping yesterday after turning the car off before finding a small puddle underneath the car. Put the car on jack stands earlier today and discovered the steering rack and everything around the oil cooler covered in oil. Thought it was loose filter but it hadn’t budged since oil changed. Come to find out that the oil pressure sensor back out. Ordered new sealant and will pick up a in. Lbs torque wrench tomorrow to do the job. Dealer doesn’t have availability for two weeks and I have a track day.

There is a TSB for it. (https://latemodel.cachefly.net/downloads/instructions/17-2271.pdf) Be sure to check this every oil change! And make witness marks so you detect movement. Glad I caught it at home instead of the track
