I never got the chance, I bought the mgw and that has fixed all my shifting issues. So it's still brand new in the packet

Ahh ok, no worries then. I've got some trans fluid/oil which apparently makes a difference so Im going to see how that goes before i look at shifters

Trans fluid and a trans insert should help drastically change the shifter.

The trans fluid slightly alters viscosity but one of the reasons a high rpm lock out occurs is because the transmission itself bounces around

ahh ok, thanks mate, i haven't had the high rpm lock out happen before so i'll see how i go :-)
