When I'm playing a purchased CD there is no info on the screen. No artist, no track title, nothing. Is there a way to fix this? There's also an icon at the top center of screen I can't figure out.
Thanks for the help.

You play CDā€™s? My car doesnā€™t even have a CD player.

I think it depends on the CD. I haven't tried since the latest updates, but it did show the information the last time I inserted a CD, which was for setting my subwoofer levels.

I will have to pull it out. I bought it to set up my home stereo system and decided to give it a try in the car.

Who gets a CD player, is it the B&O package?
I'm pretty sure the car would get the info from the Gracenote database, like it does for MP3s. Have you connected your car to a wifi network, say by parking it near your house and signing on?This may be how it accesses the Gracenote database. Even so, not every CD is in the database. Worth a shot.

Yes. Part of the Electronics Package.
I'm glad I have the slot as I still have hundreds of CDs

I thought I would too, but with a 160GB thumb drive I can bring every album I could conceivably want to listen to while driving. Plus, Sync3 indexes them so you can bring them up very effectively with voice command.

I'm a technological caveman. šŸ˜„
Plus then I would have to buy a PC...
Not gonna happen.

I have the car connected to my phone and the phone connected to the car. It's kinda funny how that works.

The CD information is actually on the CD. Iā€™ve burned thousands of disks when I was younger. You had to add the info manually. Not all commercial disks have cd-text. I doubt the unit is trying to use your connected phone to look up info on the cddb. Cd database.

the player has to support cdtext as well

There is some numerical info on the CD which is recognized by Gracenote. There are no track listings, albumcover art, etc.
