Mike is correct. The factory sized line can handle 850+ HP. The people selling the product will want to do just that…. Sell the product.. I believe most of us with return style fuel systems are simply overkill for 90% of our applications. But we are driven the return route via recommendations (and often requirements) of the most common tuners.

I agree with you 100%. Company's want you to buy the 'overkill' due to profits, but not all.
