Incredible numbers for the Zo6! Disappointed in both Mustangs showings! I expected better from both. 4 seconds slower than a 1Le Camaro???

Was the GT a PP car?

It's hard to compare year to year, due to differences in the track and weather. The Ecoboost for example is ~3 seconds slower than the 2011 V6. That was the same V6 that hit the 115 MPH speed limiter on the straight (due to the aluminum driveshaft). I have a hard time believing the Ecoboost would be that much slower than the 2011 V6 if they were tested in the same conditions.

So, that could mean that all the cars tested this year should actually be a bit faster, which really makes the Vette and CTS-V times pretty remarkable.

It is a little disappointing that the EB is slower than the GTI though.

z06 posted an awesome time.

Disappointing numbers for the 5.0 compared to the 1LE and the gap only gets worse before it will get better. GT350 needed to save the day. That is going to be an interesting lighting lap, hope they do both non R and R.

I think conditions differed/varied from when the 1LE ran a few years ago to now when the current 5.0 lapped. The gap if any should be closer, much closer... not 4secs apart.

Was it a GTPP? Or base GT?

Agree! If any has read the sidebar Q&A... even Jim Mero stated how it's remarkably challenging to have ideal lap times. Not just year after year, but car after different car in the same event!

It rained during the 2012 Boss 302 lap and it encountered lapped traffic, the video is on YouTube. All cars are lapped with other class vehicles to save time. It's hit or miss on some laps...

It rained before the GT500's lap in 2013 too... nobody said anything...

There are 6-8 editors driving xxx amount of cars for about 15 laps each, in 8 classes in less than 5 days.

If the 1LE ran that time that means the new 16 SS will be in some good company. Almost makes it worth the ridiculous price tag.
