I planned on bringing one home last summer, but I am in a similar boat as the OP...only we are STILL in the midst of a home addition. So money has been extremely tight...living in the Bay Area will do that to you. Add in a 4 year old and a 5 year old, and the expenses associated with them =No...
I don't have the Mustang...yet.
It is at the top of my list of cars...but I have not driven it yet as I do not want to impulse buy the thing, not until we are done with the addition to our house (long story there).
I want my next car to be fun to drive and to last 20 years. This certainly puts...
I saw 5 mustangs, an autocross course set up, a Yokohama Tire truck and a big tent at the Alameda County Fairgrounds yesterday afternoon.
The pavement did not look as if it had many runs on it, (no signs of black rubber in the corners) which leads me to believe that something is going on today...
Rather than start a new thread...I will sorta kinda hijack this one seeing as it is looking to die a slow death.
I am very much interested in a GT vert. But am conflicted on how to option the car...
Now that 2016 will have the PP option...i do not want to "waste" my money.
I am also 90% certain...
I know this is off topic, but I have to ask since there are at least 3 folks on this thread that had the FOST.
I am looking at possibly picking up a used FOST and I will say that I REALLY liked the test drive.
I have been driving a Honda Ridgeline and jumping in the focus was so refreshing...
California...
Hmm, I REALLY wish that they had plate readers in CA. I would make a rough estimate that in some counties, more than 10% of the vehicles would be impounded, never to be returned again.
I really, really, really wish they would bring that to CA. BUT, our liberal politicians would...
Ok. I get it.
But, seems there are a couple of M3 owners. Who have also heard the same thing that I have heard, and that is that the GT actually has a very Euro feel to it. So my question is this, is it true?
Do you feel like the car is as fun to drive as the M3 -and NOT just because it is...
Please, if you get the chance, can you do a thorough write-up comparison between the E46 and the GT?
I have been cross shopping cars, and the e46 m3 is neck and neck with the 2015 GT.
Now a lot of folks will think I'm insane, but I really like the inline 6 from BMW, and fear those days are...
I want one for sure. In fact, I am saving pennies to be able to buy one...and I plan to hold onto it forever to be passed down to one of my kids.
I am a bit disappointed in the lack of PP upgrades available, but that means that I will likely be going my own route with coilovers and other...
Undecided on color, but
Convertible
3.55 Limited slip w/ PP (still might accept the 3.73)
Recaros with saddle leather (you did say ala carte)
Ford racing catback
Factory roll bar, (because I would like to track it) and would like the integrated look.
6 sp manual w/ short shifter
Shaker pro...
That is easy, look where you live.
Come to California and just TRY to find a Boss that sold for under $50k. Can't do it. Even high volume dealerships in the Bay Area with a Boss or two sitting on their lot, were asking $54k and NOT even considering negotiating.
I just do not believe the $41k...
So, you are saying that the "track pack is not intended for high-volume masses but rather the discerning few who's priorities are skewed that way" precludes vert buyers, or owners from getting the upgrades that bolt right up because of what again??
The point is that it is an option that must be...
I agree with you 100%.
Here is the dilemma. As you mentioned, nothing on the vert should be any different aside from the Recaros, which can be addressed with a harness I suppose.
BUT, my image of this car and it's history with me goes like this.
I buy the car, and drive it in anger every now...
Bummer on that.
It is interesting that you cannot order the car TY with anything other than black seats either...hmmm. I like the Redline premier trim followed by saddle.
Of course, I like the recaros the most, but not offered...Does anyone know why? Other than seat heaters, and seatbelt...
Funny...I am in the same boat. Have a 4yr old and 2.5yr old and am kicking around the idea of a FoST, but now that I hear about the possibility of an RS coming stateside...
Of course, the MustangGT is still my first choice. Just need to drive it first.
I am in the same boat as a few others. To me, if it was all about performance, it would be the coupe/fastback. But to me, there is something about the GT convertible and that V8 that has been in the back of my mind since high school when a friend had access to his dad's 68 or 69 convertible...
Wow! My first post and I see that there are others (like minded) cross shopping similar cars. Depending upon finances, my decision may be made for me. Having a 2 yo and a 4yo means I have less money for myself.
As recently as 4 years ago, I would often find myself on the track... on...
