I ran SCCA for 8 years back in 1996-2004
I ran SCCA for 8 years and totally understand. I haven’t raced my current car, it’s not setup for that. However, after owning 6 Mustangs and 2 SCCA race cars (SN95’s), I am confident that any kind of abuse you’re doing to a supercharged car in this...
You’ll still need the same mods regardless. No stock cooling system can provide proper cooling especially since you’re adding extra heat with the blower. Upgraded radiator, 160 stat, high flow or electric water pump, Water Wetter, fans turned on high early.
How are the Brembos on track...
I am talking worse, not moving in summer Florida traffic. As long as I’m moving the car runs 170-190 even extremely hard (Several WOT runs) with all the cooling mods. With the blower my car is the opposite where it runs the hottest when still. I can run as hard as I want if I am moving.
Procharger here and I live in South Florida. My car doesn't run over 195 degrees ever no matter how hard I push it.
Mishimoto Aluminum radiator is a must but the best cooling mod ever, MMR electric water pump. I have an in car controller to manage the temps. My tuner has the fans on full I...
Not on our cars, its one or the other. You'll need different tunes. However, after 700 you should be moving away from 93 and only running E85. I will never run 93 in my car ever at 780 wheel. Direct Injection, 12.0:1 Compression and over 10 pounds of boost, E85 is the only option.
Just for...
You're on the right track here with a blower. I don't see an aftermarket fuel system and you're at the level where it's good insurance to have.
Most of use a Fore Innovations two or three pump return style fuel system. Throw id1050x injectors in so you can run E85. After that I'd work on the...
No need with a Centri, that's the beauty. It's basically designed to do this out of the box. If torque is your thing, get a Whipple or Roush blower. That's what they are good for out of the box. It's the reason why we have choices. I'm not running from a dig and with a 10R80 a Centri is...
Best part of a Centri blower is they don't make a ton of torque down low which gives traction a chance. Roll racing with a Centri, 10R80 where its shifting and keeping the rpm in the powerband the entire time is so fun.
D1-X here, 12 psi making 770HP on a 120MM (4.5ish) pulley with E85. Like the blower is saying, really, you have the largest pulley on me wuss. It's not even sweating.
The head unit, fuel and compression is the factor here. You'd have to be under a 4" pulley to make some steam.
The float for the gauge is tangled. It happened to me when I installed the Fore Innovations fuel system. The gauge didn't work, took the fuel hat out and the float was caught on the plumbing inside the tank.
If it's not caught on anything, the float arm could be damaged or the hinge rusted...
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on BenPak Quick Jacks but want to do the BMR jacking rails first. Thanks for this info, didn't know there were two sizes.
it will be a higher pitch but the Long Tube headers and cats are where the noise comes from. Long Tubes, no cats and that mid pipe would be so raspy. So just know when you do headers it’s going to change the tone big time.
I have Long Tubes, no cats, stock resonator and stock catback. My car still made 800hp. You should get high flow cats with your Long Tubes then keep the rest. After the cats it's just noise, not much to be gained anyway.
Friend of mine and myself before he purchased his car in 2020, we test drove a used 991 Turbo, new BMW M4, new Shelby GT500, new Trackhawk. He wound up purchasing a 2020 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye Widebody. Why? The 911 was so good it actually was boring to drive. The Redeye was just...
Anyone with an A10 and supercharger in S. Florida and have their tune?
I just paid a bunch of money to get my car tuned so I need to feel this trans tuning first.
I feel your pain, I went back to the stock resonator and stock catback. Car still made 800hp which proves the mid-pipes and catback is just noise. I even took it further and put dynomat in the trunk area, under the rear seat and its so quiet inside the car. I'm gonna do the rest of the...
Mine does the same on occasion but I'm not tuned by Lund. I've had a few revisions done to help this but didn't like the normal driving shifts even though it fixed the downshift issue.
