22 GT PP mostly stock, not lowered. I frequently have the car over 120 and it never feels light (except when it should be expected, e.g., of course you expect the rear end to get a little loose to help you rotate the car trail braking, but that's always well under 100 mph for me). A couple of...
I'd be happy to move the thread, but I don't know how! Feel free to do that and tell me where to go. And also thanks for the help.
Good question about the differential. I had it get too hot once (into the red) on a 95-degree day on a flatter (probably more time on average spent at, say, >...
Yes, sir. 100% it is the transmission, the 10-speed automatic, that is getting hot. Yes, it gets up to where the gauge turns orange (I have my gauge cluster exactly like yours on track: diff, CH, tranny). As I say, it even got up into the red the first time when I wasn't watching it as closely...
Thanks for the reply and question! Yeah, 100% sure it is the transmission temp and not the cylinder head. It will get up around 250. First time it happened I came off track in limp mode trailing white smoke. Now I keep a pretty close eye on it, so it's never been quite that dramatic since. I can...
I have about 14k miles on my '22 GT and I have a couple of issues with it, one that is pretty common based on what I have read elsewhere, and the other one I plan to talk to the dealer about this winter (I welcome anyone's insight about it). The issues I have ONLY occur on track. Off the track...
Over a year late to the party, but I am curious about a recommendation for the cheapest possible, non-warranty-voiding option to recalibrate my speedometer after a wheel & tire change. Reading this brief thread through I gather the following options are out there:
ForScan software option for...
Well, I'm going to document my bad luck here for the next poor soul who comes along. I was running at a track day event and things were going mostly well (except for rear diff temp warning, but that's another story). Finished the morning sessions and was thinking about going to get lunch. I...
I have an S650 on order, but I probably won't take it. As I have thought about it a lot I think I just love my 2022 better. Some of the reasons are mentioned earlier in this thread. A while back I was telling a guy that I just didn't like the looks of it as much as my '22, although I couldn't...
This has to be true -- they will not work with jacking rails because the jacking rails would use the same holes as the tie down kit loops. If that's a deal-breaker for you, then for sure you wouldn't want to go that route. I personally made the opposite decision that the tie down points were...
It does not because the tie down loops protrude down just an inch or so and that is enough to have enough clearance for the strap to stretch from the loop to the D-ring on the bed of the trailer with no interference. I don't know what else to say. There was no issue all.
I put the FP tie down kit on my car. Even if I never put it on a trailer again, it sure made it slick and easy to get it tied down on the trailer. Was super secure 1000 miles round trip, and worked great.
Well, I honestly don't remember where I saw it. A couple of weeks ago I was just Googling like crazy trying to find out what I could about them, including any known safety issues.
This thread caught my attention because I was considering buying a QuickJack for my '22, but a while back I found a scary story about one side suddenly kicking out on a guy. Do you guys with experience with these have any safety concerns? Do you feel "comfy" working on the car with them? Do you...
Hello. I am Joe from Kansas. Back in the fall I bought the most beautiful car I've ever seen. 2022 GT Premium PP. This is actually my third Mustang overall. Way back when I was in high school I had a 1977 red Mustang II, which was a nice little car, and great for a high school and college...
Brand new to these forums and everything, so forgive me if I don't know what I'm doing.
