I have to agree with this. I did the same. I am happy now by just adding the Borla resonator to my existing S type cat back. Cost me a bit but love it now. I paid a trusted mechanic to do mine, I never would have tackled such a job on my own :)
Most people go catless if they are going FI to reduce the risk of blowing out the cats. I don't plan on going FI, or if I do it is easy to put a piece of pipe in place of the cats.. Meeting emission requirements might be necessary reason for cats... Plus it does muffle the sound a little bit...
The stainless works have multiple options for mid pipes. You can get the factory connect option which necks down to fit into the factory cat back, or a straight thru 3 inch performance connect. I have the Borla 60661 resonator which is the same connection as factory so I went with a factory...
At the price point, it is hard to beat either Stainless Works or Texas speed. Both are great options, and can connect directly to either the stock resonator and cat back or aftermarket X Pipes, h Pipes, etc. I did Texas speed catted connected to a Borla Cat back and it works great.. Just be...
I really like the P&S Swift for basic wipe downs. It cleans a little and leaves a little sheen. I don't use on anything I touch however (steering wheel, shift knob, etc). And the CARPRO Inner QD is great. Cleans pretty good and leaves a little bit of protection if you clean weekly or so..
I'm a huge fan of P&S Xpress. Foams wonderfully, cleans amazing, leaves nothing behind. And it smells great too. Bonus :) Same with CARPRO Inner QD. The lemon smell lingers for quite a while..
I know the Borla 60661 resonator I installed, when I looked down the pipes before installing you could see the honey comb piping thru the unit but down toward the bottom you could clearly see a crossover. It says it has an internal H pipe. I like the more I drive it. Made the car very quiet...
And I was crazy enough to watch the whole thing :) The thing that caught my eye was at the 0:58 mark when I saw the sticker that said "Built in Greeneville TN, USA". I drive thru Greeneville TN just about every day. Small world :). I love Sandro's Videos, he has a great channel...
You are probably right. I always put on a coated car, but very sparingly. It does haze really easy, that's why I have pretty much quit using it, have found other products that play well with others :)
Oh yes, much better. Beadmaker might last a couple weeks. KCx S0.02 lasts a couple months or more. Boost V2, the V2 version is more long lasting. The original Boost is kinda like Beadmaker, only lasts a short time.... They all look fantastic and boost the gloss a lot.
I like Beadmaker but have found better options lately. I still have it in my arsenal, the main thing I don't like is the name doesn't coincide with what it does. Makes paint glossy and slick, yes Beads, not so much :( I much prefer Adams Slick N Slide for a final wipe down, or for a ceramic...
YESS, I use the curveball for that as well, works fantastic. I do the 5.0 emblem, and the gas door too. I got the screwball but its too coarse for paint...
