A very, very, smart move!

My trans temp on my 10r80 went to 230 before I realized it. It did not like that two one bit!! This was the result! It only made that noise when it was put it into gear or when I came to a stop and the transmission went back to 1st. There was so much metal in the transmission and converter.

Interesting for certain! I wouldn't try nor advise it. My sbc 406 has a windage tray my mechanic wanted in it. I suppose this is why.
