I had some mild tramlining with the OEM 255s and 275s on the Bullitt. I went a little wider on the fronts to 265s and Michelin all seasons all around and it actually magnified the the issue a little, mainly on unevenly crowned roads. On decent roads its just fine. Just my 2cents. Get the...
I'm 63yo and always made it a point to turn my tires around (before tires were directional) so the white letters were on the inside. To each his own, do whatever floats your boat. "My knees" should have it's own thread!
Same here, it was so damn painful, driving just like the manual said. Starting at 4.5 miles. Its on 34k now and honestly even after beating it hard, flogging it, driving with the AC on in 102° days...it really does not use any detectable oil. It does have some ticking at 2,000 but pretty normal...
Bought tires at Sams Club. I look through the window to see some idiot slipping my clutch horribly because he couldnt back the car off the lift. Left the traction control on or some crap. Never again buying tires at ANY Sams club. Its a joke. Oh yeah, I took a day off work to have them installed...
Thanks,
My '19 Bullitt has been missing some since the day I picked it up. It sat on the lot almost a year and had a dead battery of course. Good to keep on hand.
I got "tired" of swapping out winter tires and wheels on my 2019 Bullitt and put the michelin AS4s on it. Very happy. Went with 265s up front and 275s out back. The speedo is off a few mph, it does sit a tiny bit higher in the front but the handling was much better than expected. The car does...
I guess ours is about average at 31k. The wife drives it more than me, better roads, shady parking and shorter distance. I'll bet the OP with the mileage in the 90k range has some wild stories to share?
I gotta say, those don't look half bad. Follows the curve of the back end. Its definitely a maybe. The wife agreed. Not a fan of the different colored lights, thats a big nope.
Talk to me about that PMAS cold air setup...I have been considering getting one of those. The no tune version like yours. Did you run into any heat soak problems like in traffic? Surging, etc. I was going to add a lexan lid to my Bullitt airbox but might add the PMAS first.
Thanks!
Bullitt #4321...
I have the AA spare and jack kit and other than the time where a road costruction crater blew both of my Bullitt's left tires, it has saved me one other time. Dragging around that extra weight in the trunk has never been a problem for me. Its so necessary. The roads around the St. Loo are so...
Looks like you made the right choice. Be sure and keep us S550 folks updated on your experiences with the fresh build. I'm in the same boat, gotta have some sort of warranty or recourse. Good luck!
Even if the driver of any fast S550 Stang would manage to outrun the police, they are definitely going to be apprehended when they stop at a gas station to refuel. Keeping fuel in our Bullitt has always seemed to be a problem, but its miles of smiles!
Coming from past Mustangs I have owned, Hurst shifted T5 in a 1986 SVO then a Tremec 3650 in a 2002 Mustang GT, purchased new. The Tremec got a Steeda Tri-Ax added. Both of those cars definitely had the "gears biting" feel due to the design, pretty rough especially when cold. Even after changing...
Just the kit I found online. I did get a special lug socket with a hard plastic liner and extendable lug wrench. Using a standard Ford generic jack also. The lug wrench and socket not shown in picture. Then I hit broken concrete section in a construction zone and blew out two tires on one side...
Congrats,
This car will be alot of fun. I have 28k on the 2019 Bullitt and the first mod was the clutch spring. A good mod, the engagement is weird compared to other Mustangs we have had. I added the blue Ford filter and full length jacking rails. You wont like the two piece lug nuts, not the...
