  1. 6R80 - dumb shifting, looking for options to fix it (explaining with charts from logs)

FWIW I was not happy with the 6r80 in my '15. I never did get an aftermarket tune to see if that would help the lazy feeling trans nor was the adaptive shift disable in forscan available at the time. The first drive in my 19 with the 10r80 was worlds different, it was like a totally different...
  2. E85 tune

I don't test each and everytime I fill up but I do use the same 2 gas stations everytime that I have tested. After every fill up I don't do any spirited driving and watch the afr's for the first 1/4 of the tank. If I don't see anything wonky it's game on. The ecu can adjust fuel trims up to 30%...
  3. Looking for VCT Information

To further add information to this subject on VCT function. The phasers themselves are fed oil but oil pressure itself is not used to actuate the position directly. The shuttle valve directs oil between the advance and retard chambers and the pressure for that fluid change to happen is given by...
  4. Headlamps

With having built retrofit headlamps for 3 previous vehicles, I would want to see real world testing of luminous flux, and beam pattern in comparison to OEM. Personally I love the 18-22 OEM headlamps.
  5. Why DIDN'T you get a camaro?

For me it was 2019 when I got my 2015, I kept my eye out for a V8 sports car after having owned 3 FI 4cylinder vehicles previously. I looked at curb weights and wanted a camaro the most, it had the lowest curb weight for a v8 american sports car and I have owned 2 F-bodies long ago. At that...
  6. Torsen Question

As far as I know a Torsen unit will transfer torque to the slipping wheel regardless of its driven direction, same goes for standard cone/clutch type.
  7. Getting lighter wheels are a game changer.

Ugh thanks for rekindling my want to get rid of the PP1 boat anchors.
  8. Suspected bad fuel pump - 2019 Bullitt on E85

No all stock system. Honestly I can't smell the grape in the exhaust which is a bummer, likely because of cats.
  9. Suspected bad fuel pump - 2019 Bullitt on E85

I also worry about the longevity of the fuel pump on my 19 running e85 year round so I bought a bottle of Allstar Performance upper lube fuel additive from amazon in grape scent lol. Every couple of months I throw a couple of ounces in with a fill up for some extra protection.
  10. 10R80 is no PDK

I have to believe ford purposely left a large amount of room between the clutches and steels to reduce drag as much as possible. Tolerancing stack-up within parts plays into how these transmissions act. Some are looser than others affecting apply piston fill rates quite a bit making those...
  11. 10R80 is no PDK

Here's my experience with a 10r80 vs a 6r80. Huge upgrade, loved the 10r80 from the start in comparison to the 6r80 in my 15. Mine does not exhibit harsh characteristics, only the occasional flare that 10r80's are known for. After a Lund tune the trans became even better, never driven a DCT of...
  12. 10-Speed Automatic Transmission (10R80)

Mine whines and has 91k miles. Personally I like the whine it makes.
  13. Vland lights do not work with engine running

I am using mode 1, amber cursor indicator. This is the one mode using amber turn signals that doesn't cause an issue with my body control module.
  14. Is it true that the auto is made faster than the 6M because of fuel economy?

Back in the old days before and shortly after lockup converters became a thing it wasn't uncommon for manual transmissions to get better mpg than their auto counterparts. Now as autos have gained more gears and fluid viscosity has decreased to water the losses from auto's have nearly equaled...
  15. Mustang love / hate

Truth is new vehicles mechanically still wear out, and maintained properly will last. The electronics in newer vehicles is the problem. These parts are built to a price out of smaller discrete components that are mass manufactured in the 100's of millions. That is alot of room for component...
  16. Bizarre Dealer Feedback After CEL Diagnosis

My guess is if you have modified any values in forscan to alter the as-built configuration that is what the dealer saw and immediately jumped to the conclusion to say something aftermarket has modified the vehicle and could be causing said issues even though modifying anything with forscan will...
  17. Vland lights do not work with engine running

Your welcome. I will say this however, my vland taillights error out my body control module for short circuit whenever I select a turn signal mode that lights all 3 bars at the same time. This would shut down turn signals. I wanted factory functionality but amber instead. But after weeks of back...
  18. Vland lights do not work with engine running

As you can see, the wiring is different for euro version lamps vs usdm.
  19. Vland lights do not work with engine running

The issue may be that thr vland lamps are meant for usdm wiring, but can be converted to euro with adapters, but going from usdm to euro then back to usdm may be causing the issue.
  20. Vland lights do not work with engine running

I am going to go out on a limb and say that whatever was done to convert to euro lights needs to be undone.
