As you can see, the wiring is different for euro version lamps vs usdm.

The issue may be that thr vland lamps are meant for usdm wiring, but can be converted to euro with adapters, but going from usdm to euro then back to usdm may be causing the issue.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that whatever was done to convert to euro lights needs to be undone.
