@NGOT8R - Humidity greatly extends most paint drying time. If the painted parts are going to be inside and not in the wind/sun, I’d go the 73 degrees route.
appreciate the advice. What is an easier installation-new RLCA bushings or just replacing the OEM RLCAs with new ones that already have the better bushings?
also, do spherical bushings cause increased NVH? If so, are there other less aggressive RLCA bushings that do not cause a noticeable...
Other than hitting the drag strip a few times, I don’t plan on autocrossing or tracking my car. However, I noticed like many other Mustang owners have noticed that when I made a quick transition from left to right or right to left, the rear suspension feels like it’s a step behind and attached...
very happy with this on a recent big trip I took. This was 95% highway with my cruise set at 75-82 almost the entire portion of highway drive time. Under the same conditions/etc, my 2001 5-speed 260 hp 4.6L V8 would have been about 20 mpg. I guess that’s technological progress!
The earlier model’s version of the Coyote (before 2018 my) sure had better looking engine dress up. Much better available covers in the aftermarket too. I’m assuming what @k_myers has won’t work on 2018+?
Absolutely. It’s insane at how low of speeds it will get to 10th in D. But when I’m in sport+, it’s way better and usually doesn’t get past 8th gear at speeds under 45 mph unless I’m driving very passively.
So far, I’m impressed with the A10 in my 2023 GT. I will echo though that it acts a little wonky until the trans fluid warms up, and that in itself seems to take extra long. But it’s pretty good once you let the trans warm up. And if I’m driving aggressively or around town and don’t want the...
Very interesting WD Pro. Thanks for posting that info.
It’s seems strange to me that with an identical exhaust system from the manifolds back that the 23+ and prior cars see such a material bump in torque when replacing the resonator with an x or h pipe but the 24+ doesn’t. It could also just be...
Just watched a few videos from Steeda comparing the stock resonator, their x pipe and their H pipe on the dyno. The 2021 GT picked up some nice torque gains between 2000-3750 rpm with their H and X pipe. The 2024 GT they tested showed very little gains overall between the stock resonator, x-pipe...
I think Reaction Time (r/t) only matters if you are racing head to head. It does not affect your 1/4 mi ET.
I don’t know anything about your car but your ET seems great!
What diameter are the OEM tips for the active exhaust? 3”? What about the Mach One? I think the Mach One tips are perfect.
I suppose I could go outside and measure mine but it’s NASTY outside at the moment lol.
Appreciate the links. I read thru them and there are only two individuals who really followed thru and installed slip-on style tips that they seemed to get to work for them. I definitely do not like the ones from Australia-they stick out way too far for my taste. The black ones Tish used seem ok...
The only thing I don’t love about the stock active exhaust are the tips. They are a little too small for my liking. Are there any good replacement tip options out there?
