I just used a turkey baster and sucked all the coolant out, emptying into a clean container. Pinched off the hoses, installed, then refilled. That ugly jellybean had to go.
What's your wheel and tire setup, then I'll leave you alone. We have a new road course opening next Spring just north of Dallas so I'm about to prep my '17 for a possible membership and many track days. Mine has 19K on stock motor.
I vote for option #2. I've seen and ridden in a 350 helion, and it is truly a work of art and it eliminates the GT350 torque issues down low. It is the way to go since you have the coin, IMHO.
I tried hard to get those Conti's, but nobody could find the rears. Not Tire Rack or any of the usual suspects. I needed tires, like yesterday, and found some P Zeros on sale for 15% off + free shipping. Love them so far, but haven't tracked them yet.
I tried the Pirelli's in stock size like yours, and surprisingly the tramlining almost totally went away. Honestly, I had forgotten all about tramlining till you brought it back up. Or maybe I just got used to it.
Sorry to hear you moved out of Ft. Worth. I need some GT350 rocker panel strips that I saw you are now carrying. Can you recommend an installer here in the Metroplex?
Gonna follow your thread in that forum. I'm torn between several trucks right now, including the Lightning. But I'll keep the 350 till it blows up probably.
That's a tough decision to have to make. Awesome, but tough. I'd go with the TRX if you can find one and you have the cabbage to swing it. My Raptor is wore out and I've had a hard on for that truck for over a year.
