Some interaction on the roads, but gas stations are a different story. If there's another Mustang filling up, it's like a meeting of the brotherhood, lol!
DD here, as well. I don't always drive it hard, so my MPG ranges from 19 to 22, depending on my highway miles in a given week. I don't see any sense in paying for a second car just to save a few hundred a year in gas.
I just passed 7k miles on mine. Love it! The shifts are smooth as butter. The only time it holds gears is when you're driving aggressively, but that's when you want it to! If you want it to upshift, just tap the paddle. Easy. If you're in D, the car will just take over shifting again. If in S...
Worked at a Lincoln-Mercury dealership in high school, during the Fox body days. We had multiple come across the used lot. I was a detailer, so I got to drive them, as well as clean them up. I remember thinking that one day I'd have one of my own. Ended up lucking into a great deal on a used...
Back in college, when my wife and I were dating, I had a 35th Anniversary Thunderbird SC. Got it up over 120 with her riding shotgun. She's fine with my driving, though she doesn't like it when I get aggressive driving her car.
From the A10 upshift thread. Didn't know this myself. Can revert to auto while using paddles in S, if you hold a paddle for a second or so. Helps to read the manual, I guess!
So, I was just out driving. One addition to my prior post. If you activate the paddle shifters in D, regardless of drive mode, they will deactivate a short period after the last input, so if you use them in D, you'll have to keep using them to prevent unintended upshifts. If you activate them in...
Shifting to S just puts the transmission into Sport. The Sport+ toggle will do that plus change the steering to Sport, as well as the suspension on Magneride-equipped Mustangs and the exhaust on those with active exhaust.
Shifting into S is really for when you're in Normal mode and want better...
I haven't listened to them side by side, but the equivalent would likely be normal mode. Definitely not wide open. That's track mode, and it's really loud.
