I have looked at getting a sedan again and I do like the upcoming 2025 refresh of the CT5. And would probably settle for a V with the V6 TT and AWD. As something different from my Mustang, a turbo and an AWD system with 4 doors.
I work and live near West LA. I always make sure I get coolant temp up and I drive a mix of 25 - 45 mph roads, I get rpm rarely above 2-3. Yes I do long drives at times to Arizona and Nevada at highway speeds etc. No issues with car since 2018, I also change oil 6 months even I put low miles.
I found several examples that 5W-20/30, low viscosity oils flow easier to protect engine parts at cold temperature. While 5W-50, high viscosity oils are typically better at maintaining film strength to protect engines at high temperatures.
So I was not sure it will affect engine life if I am...
Would the 5W-50 requirement for Roush be overkill for someone who won't be doing pulls, track, drag racing, and just drive normal within the speed limit?
I may be one of the rare bunch whom seem to like the Acura TLX Type-S as an option, it comes fully loaded already with no need to add items, and is under 60K and comes with V6 Turbo SH-AWD, the power could be better vs competitors but the 355+ HP and 350+ tq is fine for a luxury sport sedan...
Actually I would retain my gt/cs trim, it has its own unique pattern anyway. That was why I was asking if the digital Ecoboost display can read off a Roush if I got it enabled. And at least I can see the gauge easily right in front via view my gauge section.
I just have gt/cs with no center dash gauges so would have to try adding the digital Ecoboost boost gauge to my display via forscan. Or connect and add a mechanical gauge to a vent. So reason I asked was if that method can be done while still on Roush tune or need to be done on stock tune...
Was there ever any review on that PWR coolant brick upgrade for the 18+ roush set up? It looks like it wasn't popular just like the max cooling kit for a daily driver?
Does the Roush work out of the box with the Ecoboost boost gauge enabled? Can that be enabled via forscan while on the...
saw a complaint about a valley coolant leaks with the roush brick etc.
Wonder about Whipple canned tunes? a Super Snake (whipple carb eo stage 2) had a radiator hose blow out.
only mod I have to exhaust is just a borla touring cat-back. and my car has 3:15 gears with A10
Even with the set up, I have seen some issues with durability with long-term use of the Roush, since the brick is under the blower and could wear other internal parts over-time aside of the tune?
Some of the consensus I found based on the carb tunes is Edelbrock has issues of no engine braking...
I see many threads of mostly hp/tq and often just recommending custom tunes for all the kits over canned tunes.
But how about strictly just comparing or sharing experiences on which kits work the best when it is just limited to the carb eo tune that is provided without comparing hp, tq, Heat...
I looked in the manuals for both Stage 1 / State 2 Carb EO 2018+ kits, I cannot find what oil edelbrock says should be run with the kits other than 91 minimum Octane. Is it 5W-50? And are the oil change intervals regular 6 months etc, or 3000 miles/ 3 months like other kits?
Does the Stage 1 and Stage 2 kits work with ACC (adaptive cruise control) I mean does the install interfere and make contact with the sensor on the bumper guard?
If using a 2018+ Stage 1 carb eo E-force Kit stock with no mods, is the Edelbrock competition Cold Air Intake # 15811 plug and play? or would need a tune adjustment and might not fit to the stage 1 throttle body? Or it only fits on Stage 2? the descriptions are not clear and just simply say...
I thought of those wheels too (the gunmetal version), the Tire Shop would not order them even they had the best price vs online, they said they would not fit (I know they do), I also had to get a Manager to override allowing to put the 275/40/19 on my 19x9 ET 35 square set up. I am...
If you want to go the PPF route, Xpel has templates for that decklid and even the pony package version, I had mine paint corrected and xpel PPF applied to if and so much better and keeps the scratches away.
In my experience regarding the GT/CS grilles, the actual 2019 Ford part comes as one piece (the emblem and the plastic welded on outline of it is already part of the actual grille if you order the part number. you have to buy the entire grille to get that emblem, same goes for the decklids...
