I did consider the Rex but it seems there are pros and cons for both stainless and mild steel. I ended up choosing the Pacemakers as they are a trusted Australian manufacturer and not a non disclosed mob. The Pacemakers are "tuned design". Time will tell if I made the correct choice.
I have had my double coating done now for several months but I have not put many miles on the car since having the extractors fitted. The reason being is that 1/ the exhaust sound is not as nice as it was before when I had the OEM active exhaust complimented with the Borla Switchfire X pipe and...
Ha. I replied to this on the weekend but I obviously stuffed the posting bit because what I replied is not here. Anyhow yes the orange backlight everything on the orange fury is great. My car was actually on this colour when I picked it up from the dealer so I don't know if it was them or the...
The Switchfire is an x pipe resonator delete not a resonator in its self. With saying that, I imagine that the Borla resonator would fit in a stock exhaust just the same as the Switchfire fits.
I went with the Advanced Ice front camera out of Brisbane which is probably similar wiring but I had their installer do the work so I cannot help with your install. Sorry. I do recall that he had the steering wheel switches open and the back button is used to activate the camera on my FN.
Same. I do understand that there is a technical difference but nether the less I have conceded to the US term. I have Australian Pacemaker and even they call their product headers.
I have just recently had long tube headers put on and the new exhaust sound is not to my liking. A bit too loud and very raspy/tinny. A couple of Vibrant 18 inch 4 inch diameter resonators are to be fitted rear of the Borla Switchfire to hopefully remedy that. Best to get them fitted before the...
HI Peter. I will be using Profile Autosport in a few weeks now. It was going in on Tuesday this week but postponed until I have a couple of hotdog type resonators fitted. Profile think it best to be cautious and wait until they are on. I was told that there are no recommended mustang tuners on...
I have had the Borla Switchfire on my otherwise OEM 2018 GT active exhaust for 5 years now and have always liked the sound with it's mellow note. I recently had long tube headers put on and the exhaust is now raspy and tinny. I am reluctant to take off the Switchfire and wondering if there is...
Yep, I will ask for low end torque instead of high speed as well.
I am not liking the thought of losing my Borla Switchfire but the whole soundscape has changed with the longtubes.
Can be done easily via HP Tuners software etc, I have looked over the shoulder of a tuner who changed a friends startup protocol. If they are concerned about emissions/cats my cats are 200 cell and the usual install with headers is 100 cell. I think to be street legal they need to be 500 or 600...
Post #4 said that Rokbloks replied "that it had not been reported as a problem" when queried on the problem. Perhaps they need to read this thread.
I do like mine but yes they could have come with tape fitted and ready to go.
I feel more confidence in the local shop doing it. They probably use off the shelf tunes as a start point and then finesse it for what mods are on the car and what the client is wanting. I may be wrong but that is what I suspect.
