Not on mine. But I don't think I have a temp sensor in my diff. I changed it after the weekend anyway.

If that were the case, then the temp would rise if it was hotter elsewhere in the transmission and the car was stopped and sitting. I never witnessed that when I would stop. That said, I imagine you can have some temperature variations across the transmission, but it would not be a large...

No reason it shouldn't. There is a lot of rotating gears in that tranny, mixing it all up. At least that's my opinion.

Last session I saw 176. R was at 171. Ambient temp was about 75, which was about 10 deg cooler today than yesterday.Had my best lap today as well...really pushing the car (at least for me). If I decide I want to keep tracking it, I'll add a diff cooler. Going to change my diff fluid this weekend.

First session out, the R had a temp of 179 at the end. Dropped to 154 by the time he got back to his garage. I was at 150 at the end of my session and we are running about the same lap times. I will update later, as I am sure it will get to the 190 I saw yesterday at the end of the day.

Cooler is working great. Last session yesterday I hit 190 degrees. There is a guy here with an R, and I'm going to ask him to check his temp when we go out today. Will update later.

Got the trans temp to display! Cool!! Used the OBDLink MX and it worked perfectly. Also disabled the belt minders. Thanks all for the info and effort on this. Bill

Thanks for answering me questions SVT. Got the cooler installed and tested today. Track weekend next weekend at Mid Ohio. I'll update when done, but I'm guessing it will be fine. I used an RB racing gear pump. Quiet. Plus I'm pumping into the cooler. I think I'll get better results, as I think...

Did mine at 1600 and had an analysis done at Blackstone, due to some of what I read here. Nothing out of the ordinary on the report. Maybe others are seeing things, but my report was clean. YMMV...

Just bought an RB Racing pump and the CX Racing cooler. Once I get those and determine mounting, I'll get the hoses and fittings. Not waiting for Ford. May buy it when it comes out, just to have an OE system. Thanks OP for pioneering!!
