Hey guys!
After much consideration, I have decided to sell my 2016 GT350R which I bought new. I purchased an extended FORD Warranty from the Random Lake EVS Ford dealership and it is bumper to bumper through May of 2024.

Love it!! I will stay tuned for an update...should be a little more responsive to blipping! I am guessing you are taking 20-30 lbs of weight out of the clutch/flywheel package if you are removing the flywheel weight! Not sure what the stock dual-mass flywheel weighs...
Are you concerned about vibrations from the lack of the damped oem flywheel? I thought the flywheel is part of the solution the Ford engineers came up with to quell the flat planes vibrations. I am sure you thought of this. Curious as to if it will have an effect on durability...
How much...
To clarify...it was not just Saturday/Sunday 4 -5 20 minute sessions HPDE.
ROAD AMERICA Thursday Open track, Open Passing all day...fillup with fuel, run the car out of gas, repeat until you are done. Friday, Saturday, Sunday were the typical 5 20 minute HPDE sessions.
To be fair, more time...
Yes, unfortunately...1 set of front pads in a weekend. It is at Road America which is hard on brakes. I am assuming they are getting overheating because I don't run any brake ducting. We run these same pads in our Champ Car and can get 24 hours+ of wheel to wheel racing on St43s with proper...
Which Cobalt pads and rotors are you running?
I enjoy the Raybestos ST43 and St45s...do the Cobalts really last that much longer? Im going through a set of front pads every track weekend and its getting pricey!
I dont have any brake duct cooling, just the oem setup so I am sure that is not...
I assumed you owned both, my mistake! I am definitely going back and forth with my decision. The big thing for me is a $60K savings by keeping what I have!
Thank you for your feedback!
I have not posted it on Rennlist. I have read through comments on the GT350R on Rennlist. A lot of respect for the GT350R over there...but most people prefer the lightness and quality of the Porsche. I am looking for feedback from people that are like me that bought a GT350R and are looking...
Loving everyone's opinion so far! Thank you for taking the time!
joshua80...well...you drive both back to back. Which one do you prefer? Do you track them both? Let's get some real world feedback from you!
Here is how I would configure my GT4-> http://www.porsche-code.com/PNJ4Q7S2

As far as issues I have had, it has been minimal up to this point. Had a starter replaced and a couple recalls taken care of. Nothing major. Not concerned while the extended Ford warranty is in place. (Until May 2024)
I do track the car. If I didn't track it, I wouldn't worry about...
Hey all!
I love my GT350R!
Seriously considering selling my 2016 GT350R for a new 718 Porsche GT4 w a manual for a couple reasons:
1. Out of warranty issues a d expense w the GT350R
2. Weight...the GT4 is 600 lbs lighter than a GT350R. Should go through less consumables on track...

If you are close to the car, would you mind putting a magnet on the doors? Im hoping they are changing to Aluminium for 2020.
Is this a possibility?
Mike
Agreed...for $210K I would pick a GT3, GT3RS, Viper ACR, New ZR1 (Supposedly coming soon), 570, Cayman GT4, C7 Z06, GTR NISMO, ZL1 1LE, and probably a dozen cheaper cars and keep the cash difference.
I personally have never been a fan of these Mercedes sports cars. Cool, fast cars-just...
Alignment: Requires Front Vorschlag Camber Plates for the Front. Max I was able to achieve stock was something like -1.3 in the Front. Never ran at the track stock. First I installed Maximum Motorsports camber plates and was able to achieve -1.8, then went to the Vorschlag plates and was able...
#1 Okay the ZL1 1LE is NOT a car that rides nicely on public roads. It is a comfortable place to sit though. The seats are comfy and supportive and there are quite a few "goodies" added in. I personally love the PDR...a wonderful tool every car should have!
Brakes again?? Couple questions...
Again, almost all street cars need a Brake Pad and Brake Fluid Change BEFORE they go on the track. They also need an alignment.
"Whether the brakes hold up with aftermarket pads and fluid is irrelevant; "
Umm...No. Almost any street car should change brake pads and fluid to a track...
