Buy some door bumper guards, they work great, numerous places online to buy them - they are magnetic, will not scratch, made of a foam/rubber material, stick out about 3 inches. Use 2 on the side adjacent to the other car, one lining up to the edge of its front door when open, one lining up to...
You can vary the PedalMax settings to replicate the throttle response in sport or track modes by turning the dial. I don't know what else track and sport mode do, except adjust the traction/stability control, which you can adjust anyway on the base by hitting the button, and change shift points...
I like the PedalMax - did not want to tune yet/potentially void warranty - PedalMax makes the throttle much more responsive - which is what I imagine track mode does. It's easy to install, but a bit pricey at around $300 - than again, it makes driving it more fun, so I'd say its worth it.
Correct, non-premium has no adjustment for throttle response - PedalMax solves this - if you get the adjustable dial on PedalMax you have a lot of variability in the throttle response, from normal to very aggressive.
I use a poor man's version of the foam cannon by dousing my car with a pail of suds before washing. My car is black, honestly haven't seen the number of small scratches as my 13 race red GT had. I wish the metallic black Ford offers on other models was available for the mustang - saw a really...
I think a big part of transmission preference is what you're using the car for, weekend toy or DD. I got the std. 3.31 gears and love it, but I'm not commuting with it. A smooth shifting auto certainly had its place in heavy traffic, and no doubt can launch more consistently.
I think Mustang pricing of the GT is a big reason for overall mustang sales - there's a big difference in justifying a purchase of the base GT for around 30k or so versus the base SS for high thirties.
Got the axle back installed at the Solo shop in Kenmore, NY, about a year ago - really like the sound. Must also say the customer service and attention to detail for the install was excellent.
I just installed it yesterday -first impression is it feels like I installed shorter gears - much more responsive off the line. Feels like a more powerful car, though it isn't, just because of the immediate response. I have the dial and can easily feel the difference turning it off/on.
Base trim GT was what I wanted - traded in 13 GT premium - don't miss anything the 13 GT had - also, all 15 interiors are so much nicer than previous gen.
I bought a black 15 GT after having two previous race red mustangs (13 GT, 03 Mach) - I think my 13 race red had more swirls after a year than my black 15. Black does get dusty even when sitting in the garage, but that's really only noticeable if you're right up next to it, on the road it...
I think this is the same for paint on all new cars - my 1 yr old Acura has a ton of chips. Another issue I noticed for the Mustang, and likely most new cars, very thin sheetmetal/aluminum - very easy to ding with a door - had one just taken out by a PDR guy, looks like it never happened.
The Camaro has an awesome motor, no question. That being said, it is at least a 5K premium over a GT. My GT base was right around 30k when I got it a year ago - which I consider a bargain for the performance it delivers.
Lightning looks like a teal color - would have to see in person. At least its better than that bright green color Ford put on everything in the nineties.
They should have at least tried to sell privately, then again, they probably just needed to get rid of it quickly, move onto the next car to long-term test.
