Just ordered the shaft masters DS. After messing with the hose clamps and thinking I had it fixed all it seemed to do is move the vibration higher up in speed. It's prob a waste of $$$ but i guess I can sell it right? Don't think I'll be putting a new rear in it. At some point you have to cut...
Very tail of the DS.. it will work. You may need 2 then spread them out like in the video. When you get it up in stands you will feel it shake. Just keep turning it until it feels all gone or all but gone. That's it. You'll love your car again.
I put one clamp on mine.. kept rotating it 1/2" until it felt like was almost gone then when it got worse I turned it back to the best spot. I eliminated 95% of it, if not all of it. Thought about adding a 2nd clamp but I see no need at this point. Nobody would ever know it did it now. I did it...
Seems like it's safe to assume that movement of the cradle and diff is the culprit. I've simple jacked the car up rear diff and it got better when i drove it again then came back.
Order of repair should look like this:
Cradle alignment / lock out
Diff inserts
Possibly shim cradle to get...
After fixing mine myself... 2x and having it come back somewhat. I'm 99% sure its in the alignment of the rear end and cradle geometry being off. The DS balance is only part of the problem.
I'm going to align the cradle, diff bush inserts and shim the cradle as needed to get everything aligned...
