Yes, I went through the exact same problem. Headers with the extreme is racecar loud. The touring mufflers are much more manageable. Still sounds great too.
Seems to be the California endgame... stock exhaust manifold and a Whipple, hah
I feel like I'm on borrowed time myself... I really only drive back and forth to work and max 3k rpm grandma style after reading shit like this
Corsa touring mufflers inbound, hopefully that will be enough

Probably give it another month or so before we start seeing posts from people swapping the cams out
I have to acquire the Corsa touring mufflers now... I know this loud struggle

The problem is it's starting to grow on me... but it's so ridiculously loud
Did you use the factory connect (2.5") or 3"? If you did the 3", was it just a pair of 3" elbows?
That's the only part I'm concerned about for my install, connecting the Kooks to my Corsa with 3" throughout since the headers only come with that 2.5" connect.
Here's a shitty snapchat video I took weeks ago: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34813775/video/Snapchat-5553442312319838281.mp4
This is with both windows down, garage door open, and another car in the garage.
It continues at that loudness for probably around 10-15 seconds then becomes...
I couldn't explain it any better, just read this.
I may try to do some recordings with my AT2035, but I couldn't do any that involve driving. Might capture some good quality idle/start/revs, but that's about it. I can certainly attempt it if there is a desire for it...
Thanks Corsa and...
