  1. Aftermarket Navigation/Stereo Update?

Thank you. I fall into the small category of people that uses Sirius XM all the time and the steering wheel control functions are limited from everything I’ve seen. Instead of going from preset to preset it goes from like Channel 3 to Channel 4. Unless I’m wrong and you have Sirius and have a...
  2. Aftermarket Navigation/Stereo Update?

With CarPlay and a lot of other applications lose some of the functionality of the steering wheel controls. One main reason I'm considering a floating display is that it brings the display closer to the shifter and is less of a reach to access the touch screen. I personally like the look of...
  3. Aftermarket Navigation/Stereo Update?

Any pictures of the Pioneer floating head unit installed? I’m leaning towards getting a Kenwood DMX1037S installed. Here’s a picture of what it would look like. This is a render I found online as far as I can tell but it gives you a good idea of what it would look like.
  4. Question on putting a Turbocharger on a 2016 Mustang Ecoboost?

My Mustang isn’t worth anything. I commuted for 6 years and the mileage is about 240,000. I’ve maintained it though so right now spending 5k and pushing it to about 400hp is all I can do since I don’t really have more than that to spend on a new car. Otherwise yes a V8 would be a lot of fun.
  5. Question on putting a Turbocharger on a 2016 Mustang Ecoboost?

Good information thank you. I’ve got a Cobb Tune on with an intercooler and cold air intake so thinking exhaust, fuel injectors, sway bars and such. After the advice on here it seems to do mods but shoot for the 400 ish HP rather than invest in a turbo charger that’ll get it to 500 hp and then...
  6. Question on putting a Turbocharger on a 2016 Mustang Ecoboost?

I honestly don't have a plan. I don't think it's a track car just yet so mostly just driving an enjoying it. I'm just learning the ropes of doing mod's to my car. I've gone from "what's a tune" to installing a Cobb Stage 2 Tune on my Ecoboost and it make a pretty big difference. I'm looking...
  7. Question on putting a Turbocharger on a 2016 Mustang Ecoboost?

Is putting a turbocharger and getting the Ecoboost's HP up to 500hp going to be the equivalent of having a V8? Below is the one I was looking at. My 2016 Ecoboost manual was used as a commuter car for years and is high enough in miles that it's not worth very much. It's still running great...
  8. Clicking noise when letting go of gas from slight acceleration. Is this normal?

So I'm hearing like a clicking or rattling sound with my EcoBoost manual engine. It's at low speed and it's highest at around 3rd gear and pretty much disappears once it gets to a higher speed and sounds like normal. Is this the issue you guys are talking about in this thread or is this...
  9. Mustang Steering Wheel Controls and CarPlay?

Anyone had any experiences with this? Looking to upgrade my Mustang’s stereo in the next year or so and am hoping for full steering wheel control functionality vs basic track controls.
  10. Touch up paint question

Hi, Is touch up paint a good long term solution to nicks and scratches on our Mustangs? And if so should I just buy some or have a professional do it? My 2016 Mustang has tons of nicks and scratches after years of it being a highway commuter car. It’s not noticeable from a few feet away but...
  11. Has anyone purchased the DYNAVIN head unit that replaces SYNC?

How well does the Dynavin dim at night? I’ve found that with a lot of aftermarket head units this is a problem. They’ll have great specs or whatever then once it gets dark it’s distractingly bright.
  12. Question on the latest Android Auto 10 & 12 in screens from American Muscle

https://www.americanmuscle.com/mustang-1040-inch-android-9-fast-boot-vertical-screen-navigation-radio-1fdm1x6449b383nn.html I’m relatively happy with the Sync 3 navigation system/8 inch screen I currently have in my 2016 Mustang and mostly just want a larger screen. I saw this and just had a...
  13. Thoughts on CarPlay and iOS 13 vs Sync in the Mustang

Well just to update, I tried buying a wireless CarPlay adapter…and am returning it so back to Sync 3. It worked great and at this point I prefer either Apple Maps or Google Maps…BUT my iPhone started getting extremely hot sometimes and would stop charging to 80%. Decided it wasn’t worth it and...
  14. Aftermarket Navigation/Stereo Update?

I was just wondering if anyone has put an aftermarket floating display in their Mustang. I've had my Mustang for 6 years now and am looking at doing some upgrades. I've seen some of the aftermarket stereos on AmericanMuscle but they aren't really my thing. I put this in my other car recently...
  15. 220,000 miles and put a tune on my 2016 Ecoboost

I've just put regular oil in there the entire time and the car is running fine after 6 years. Most of my stuff is highway miles. A couple of years ago I did a lot of work to her to include swapping out a lot of the fluids but for the most part just change the oil and rotate the tires. I've had...
  16. 220,000 miles and put a tune on my 2016 Ecoboost

Cobb had their equipment on sale…that was the main reason. I was going to go with Steeda over the Ford Performance Tune from asking a friend who works on cars. Also, there is an economy mode where you can detune to 270 HP and that would potentially help with fuel economy on my commute. Also...
  17. 220,000 miles and put a tune on my 2016 Ecoboost

Have a 115 mile commute and average about 42,000 miles a year. I'll post on here updates since people seem interested in how my Mustang is doing with the super high mileage. Cobb Stage 2 tune. 93 Octane. HP and Torque are now like in the high 300's over the regular Ecoboost on premium fuel...
  18. 2016 Mustang Ecoboost--Just passed 200,000 miles and still going strong

Overall just change the oil and fluids and get new batteries and tires and such. I don't drive like a madman either so I'm sure that has helped. I had some AC issues that were covered by the extended warranty that I got which I think would have been a couple thousand to fix after everything. I...
  19. 2016 Mustang Ecoboost--Just passed 200,000 miles and still going strong

It’s actually increased in value bc the used car market is crazy right now but as of now everything is working reliably and I like this car so not looking at anything to replace it now. Also my 42,000 mile a year commute isn’t stopping anytime soon so still using the Mustang for that as well...
  20. 2016 Mustang Ecoboost--Just passed 200,000 miles and still going strong

Hi, In the highest mileage & lowest resale value category here I just passed 200,000 miles on my 2016 Mustang Ecoboost Premium/Manual. I have a 115 mile commute to work and my job is in a small town so decided to sacrifice the value of my car to have a life in a city. I'm averaging about...
