Been using the Catalyst for a couple of years, love the simplicity. Only drawback is that you donāt get OBDII data. But when I start running in IMSA, Iāll upgrade to VBox. š¤£
Hi Greg,
In this area you should look at Summit Point as well as VIR.
clubs which run at VIR and SP include Chin Track Days, Hooked on Driving, SCCA, NASA, and Track Club USA. Also check out motorsportreg.com to find events and organizations.
Hey all, a good friend of mine just finished this placeā¦https://trackoutllc.com/
Itās got 4 rooms with 2 beds, 4 rooms with 1 king, and ample space for trailers. Heās a super generous guy who supports others in the community. If you are going to VIRā¦please consider this for lodging.
I forgot to mention...I replaced the rear calipers and rotors with the ones that come on a GT. The discs that came on the car were like little pie tins with no cooling vanes.
LUC is right, the standard calipers and rotors are smaller than optimal. Here is my experience with a similar situation:
My 16-yo son has a 2019 EB Prem non-PP (lucky dude). My 20-yo daughter has tracked it twice (VIR and Summit Point) . I put Hawk DTC-60s on it. The main reason I chose that...
Personally, Iād go with a larger front bar before new shocks and springs. I think youāll notice a handling change. Then decide how much stiffer you want the springs and dampers. Just my $.02.
You want progressives for the comfort. Linear will have a harsher ride. If you were going to be tracking a fair bit then the linear would be a stronger consideration. Also consider an anti-roll bar first and then see how you like the handling before springs.
